So in the days of the Rockabilly revival, I particularly liked the bassists who would spin their DB's, and jump on them while still playing etc. I'm sure I remember seeing one guy playing away, who put the DB on its side, jumped on it, then kicked off so that it was spinning with him still playing on top of it. I've searched the Youtube but can't find this anywhere, so did I dream it? 😆

The Bass Poison Ivy costs over £250 - although I got a deal on mine at one of the LBGS's - it's a boutique pedal with price to match and IMO it's worth it. But I'm probably not going to buy another bass DI as I still like and use my £20 Behringer BDI21

How does it work for bands from the USA touring Europe? Do they have the same problems?

many years ago when I was working for a Jazz School - nice! - the woman in charge said her dream tutor for the drummists would be Charlie (approaches had been made) as he is a rather fine jazz musician.
