  1. Not a fan then, unlike Rodney Trotter?
  2. Manic Street Preachers tribute band then?
  3. TBF a lot of 'trio bands' use extra touring members.
  4. I took some mates to see our very own Cetera's Kiss tribute band many moons ago. Awesome full on show - blood, fire breathing, pyro - and the Paul Stanley character couldn't have sounded more like Paul Stanley without actually being Paul Stanley. Contrast that with a Coldplay tribute I saw, whose biggest cheer came during an encore when they did a cover of 'I believe in a thing call love' by The Darkness. True story...
  5. just take it one day at a time...
  6. there were rumours at the time, furthered by the fact they had the same management.
  7. I saw Aswad when they played Wembley Stadium 😎 they were great, it's a pity people only know them for that Tina Turner cover they did.
  8. The video diaries of the Shuker build courses are always great to follow.
  9. I think more pics are needed?
  10. me too, although mine was owned by the college I was at. But I was the only one who played and gigged it. The first bass that I owned was an Ibanez Blazer Bass. I know I sold it, but I can't remember to who, or when.
  11. I think SSOASS is the cut off point due to Harry's back to basics intentions which came afterwards. Although for me you knew where you were with 3 nights at the Hammersmith Odeon, Wembley Arena wasn't the same.
  12. In the 80's there was a guitar - IIRC Lita Ford briefly endorsed it - which had a chunk of the body missing in front of where the neck joined the body. The ads gave a lot of blurb about how this was better for sustain etc, but after the company folded it was admitted that the body shape was due to a lathing accident. Anyone else remember this? I've tried searching but can't find any pics.
  13. https://peavey.com/vypyr-vip-3-guitar-modeling-amp/p/03608160 Peavey Vypyr VIP 3. modelling amp for bass, guitar, acoustic guitar. It has Peavey and Trace bass amp models, and all the effects you need. The power sponge is incredibly useful for home practicing volumes, but it's loud enough for most gigs. Price around £300 new.
  14. seem to be based on the Reb Beach Ibanez sig from the 80's
