  1. Depending on the line up of the band, sometimes changes are needed. If I was playing '99 Luftballons' in a 3 piece band, I'd play a different bassline than I'd play in a line up with a keyboard.

  3. Basschat was once closed down by the FBI. I love telling people that Actually, it was a previous incarnation of Basschat (Bassworld) and it was the servers it was on that the Feds were after, as they were being used for dodgy content from elsewhere. Anyhow, welcome!

  12. pre-Covid there tended be a more mature crowd at the start of the set, so we would do more of the 60's/70's stuff. Towards the end of the night the age range tended to be younger, so we would do some of the more modern stuff. But finishing with Johnny B. Goode, was pretty much guaranteed to get all ages dancing.

  21. i read somewhere (so it must be true!) that he originally wanted a Gibson EB-1, but it was too expensive. The Hofner was aesthetically similar but a lot cheaper.
