    To be fair if these chaps were in their civvies, it would be understandable if they were not recognised.

    These are investments, so a return is going to be wanted. Licensing would seem to be the big earner (there are no royalties for radio play in USA), but there is a limited number of studios who can afford to pay the big money. So will every advert soon have a recognisable song?

    Apologies. I was under the incorrect impression the VIP 3 was the only multi instrument amp. Having listened to your recording, not sure what to advise, as even when I put the bass through guitar amps, I don't get anything similar 😕

    This. I have the Peavey Vypyr VIP 3, which is designed for guitar and bass, and is surprisingly loud enough to gig with a bass.

    I've got the Digitech BP355, it has has some great modelled bass amps, and cabs, but the Ampeg models sound best IMO.

    I read somewhere the WL doesn't work too well when a wireless mixer is being used - Behringer Air etc. Can any owners/users comment on this?

    In my former band - pub covers band - my TechAmp Puma 500 usually had the EQ centred, then I would just adjust the 'Taste' knob to suit.

    and as @alexclaber demonstrated at a Bassbash, how near the cab(s) is to the wall can make a difference too. Plus, as we hear when someone posts an isolated bass track, what sounds great in the mix, often sounds pants soloed. It's not easy is it? 😆
