  1. Dee Dee Ramone. The Ramones live, after Dee Dee left were never quite the same (as good) Bernard Edwards Niles is ACAF, but it was always Bernard I was watching and listening to.
  2. The bass line to Parklife is great fun to play.
  3. I honestly don't know if you are been truthful here 😆
  4. So unless the band all live together, only one person is allowed to be in the rehearsal room!
  5. That's because you can't see the wood for the tree's.
  6. Seek medical attention, even if it is just a phone appointment with your GP. You don't want to end up with septicemia or something!
  7. I always try to have clean hands before playing. Especially before a gig, it's noticeable when you wash your hands after humping all the gear in and setting up, how dirty they have got. Afterwards the occasional wipe down with Fast Fret.
  8. To paraphrase Jeff Goldblum in the Jurassic Park: Just because we can gig, does it mean we should?
  9. I'm hoping the Christmas gigs will go ahead...
  10. I have a Gibson Melody Maker Flying V. A 'real' USA Gibson for a fraction of the price. Check out the 2014 range, they usually go for under £500 s/h.
  11. i know you favour the computer route, but last night I tried to use Reaper. The first thing that popped up was this, needless to say I hadn't got a clue. I'm guessing that doesn't happen with the hardware option?
  12. It should be ok if you are using the rehearsal to test your eyesight.
  13. My Shuker's are custom made, so obviously no chance of playing them first!
  14. Put them both up for sale and let the market decide which one you keep.
  15. Just looking at options at the moment, but the hardware route means no internet needed, no extra gear, no viruses etc...
  16. I might have to. Just looking at options at the moment. But there are reasons, like being able to have a separate office and recording space. Not having to worry about updates, downloads and drivers, and latency etc.
  17. Is there a hardware multi-track recorder, that can be hooked up to a monitor? So that what you are doing can be seen on a proper screen rather than on the little window they all have? Does such a thing exist?
  18. plus at some of the gigs (remember them?) I've done there is not the space to put the bass back in a case.
  19. Sun Ra "Space is the Place" Ornete Coleman "Free Jazz". John Coltrane "Ascension".
