  1. https://snap-dragon-guitars.com/folding-bass-guitars 29" short scale neck,. No more need to comprimise on cramped fingerboards. This also means the e-Bass can be used live.
  2. I've seen that bass for years and never noticed ๐Ÿ˜†
  3. Saturday night, Belmont Conservative Club. Considered wearing a 'f**k Boris' t-shirt ๐Ÿ˜ Nah, it's more a Social Club than anything, the kind of thing that's taken over from WMC's. Cheap drinks, nice size stage, dancefloor, with tables beyond. So that any pics taken from tables during the first couple of songs look like we're playing to an empty club. Things soon livened up, packed dancefloor from halfway through the first set. Good people, good gig. Managed to do the entire gig without realising my cab was upside down.
  4. unfortunately to be able to download them, I would need to purchase a midi thing, which would then get me kicked out of this group again ๐Ÿ˜†
  5. last year I bought a Future Impact pedal. But I haven't got round to actually using it...
  6. then it's not the one I think it is! As you were...
  7. if it's the one I think it is (?) it has already been re-sprayed, the re-spray itself now being vintage.

  10. ...then a mass produced version is made for sale, while the artist plays a custom made instrument made by an independent luthier, but with the name of the endorsing company on the headstock.
  11. My 100w Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 combo, can quite happily cope at decent sized and larger pub gigs - despite opinions of experts to the contrary. My old 500w PJB rig (The Dalek, to any former Bass World members) had to be miked. Probably as the cabs were 16ohm.
  12. Funnily enough @Happy Jack has a double bass, that could be converted into a wheelbarrow ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  13. the trust issues are quite telling, with her not feeling comfortable using the shower. #metoo fail?
  14. Exactly. Billy Sheehan said 90% of what he does, is being the bass player in a band.
  15. back in the days of recording from a record to a tape, to learn a part, we had to learn by ear and find out the hard way if the bass was not tuned to standard pitch, or if the speed of the record player was ever so slightly out. Great training for the ear, which I almost completely lost when I had a couple of years out. Took me a while to get it back - use it or lose it. I do wonder if it makes a difference to those who have always learned songs from clicking on a YouTube video and having it all on a plate (as it were)?
  16. didn't status do this kind of online choose your own bass options type thing about over 10 years ago?
  17. My Shuker's were custom made to my measurements. So for example the bottom of the body being wider, for where I like my arm to rest on it, plus the various contours, and belly-scarf.
  18. or possibly a mild sense of satisfaction for a job well done.
  19. Ok Kim Wilde (pre SAW) Neil's Heavy Concept Album The Thompson Twins
