Correction. You'd probably get about £50:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bass-Electric-Guitar...9#ht_4836wt_935
Or this one where they add the .0047 cap into the circuit, for an extra £20 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Stereo-Rama-2-for-Ri...=item439c8b1d05 -

Failure to comply will result in assimilation and all your technology being sent to the central hive...... (sorry been watching Star Trek) Seriously guys, lay off the insults please or you'll find your warning level going up...... Ric-O-Sound kit (complete - mint)

Used for all stereo sound rick's, plug the stereo jack into stereosound on the rick, now you have the neck pup and bridge pup at the end of each mono jack, now plug each one into two separate amps for a more tuneable sound. This is an unbelievably over priced item, for a lot of cable and some jack's. You can make this at home and if you use quality components and it will be far superior. I hope no one on BC is stupid enough to be bidding on this -
Crikey tonight thinks its best to buy a whole new bridge, keep the old one with old saddles and fit to a bass you're selling on which will add value to it.

I did do it in the late 70's though

Very sad news indeed, condolences to all family and friends.
This has been posted on here before, but I think it deserves it's own thread. One of these chaps is a font of knowledge on all things Fender. The other is called Leo. Oh, aye.. forgot to mention that one of them is one of BC's own.
It's a looooong phase! Counterparts was '93.. that's.. seventeen years of danganaganaganaganagnagnagnagnagangangangzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
But, there's no sign of them quitting yet, so there's hope...
Perfect, thank you. I fully intended to stick around for Rush right until the backing vocals appeared behind me from some sort of totally unnecessary quadrophonic sound system. I prefer my gigs to be of the sweaty, energetic, full of cock ups kind, and not the exactly same as the record kind.
There are a series of video docu's showing the whole set up backsatge inc all the sound system, I'll try n find a link. But I know what you mean, though I don't think Rush could sound any different in their playing and timing as they're just to good together. SWEAT, PEE, BLOOD and GOB, Dead Kennedys 1979 Leadmill, looking back I can only think ''Ouch''. -

This has a little demo of this style, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6814432195895010358# but like he says, it was just a phase and trying different styles. He has been around playing fantastic bass constantly for 40 or so years, so unlike most he's ever adapting and experimenting. Shame you didn't hang around longer, you may have got a live demo. -
The sound I remember was with the 4001, and I think its quite easy to get the bass sound set up straight off, it has that phased mix of both pup's selected ( remember its a 4001 with the .0047 on the treble pup, which some 4003's didn't have), nasal warm with some grit, I'm sure he hasn't gone with the stereo into two amps as this looses that phasing of both pup's selected at once in the mono jack. I could be completely wrong though.

Just to far away, , Geddy Lee and Andy Fraser have been my all time fave Bass players from the start. We used to do YYZ as a break for the singer and intro for drum solo. Geddy's lines, snarling Ric sound and technique are sorted, but keyboards/taurus pedals woulds need much work and singing forget it, best of luck with the hunt.

If its a Jazz, which is an excellent choice BTW, I think the Geddy Lee is a fantastic mod version of the standard Jazz, they are around £670 new.
Cheers! Just ordered one. I actually tried them first last week but I was sure they were out of stock. Of course fingers crossed for a sensible delivery time. I find it quite annoying that a lot of these online shops don't advise you of a delivery date before you buy. If it's more than a week I will probably cancel again! P.
Cancel, and get the real thing, there are two Gibsons for sale at the moment in the Basses for sale section. The epi has a bolt on neck, I think, and you will really love the bridge pickup on the EB3. Buy some pre dried Ash, shouldn't be too much, start carving. In a couple of years, start with your original piece and make another bass, you'll probably avoid some pitfalls too.
get a matamp, same price MUCH better quality.
+1, for sure, its the closest you'll get to an honest pure sound, from people that are actually into the soul of their sound, which leaves you to tune your sound, and that's easy from a really good base.

I have an CIJ 01 Precision, really great in every respect, But for the fret finish on the edges, the fret board is quite sharp and the frets cut my fingers when sliding, not sure if this is the case with a MIJ.
Proper early SVT + 8X10
+1, its that simple Wished I'd never sold mine 69 SVT I think and 8x10, made in the days when Heavy metals and carcinogens were in everything manufactured, lovely.

Didn't they do a 49th anniversary model last time. Does look nice though, but why not do an absolute as original first edition model instead of doing the same '' all the best bits '' all over again.
