I have a hard-case from a Spector for £1 (almost free) to anyone who needs it. It's from a Spector Shorty (but fits a regular bass too) and has the Spector name on it. I have a mono bag for my bass and this case is left in Surbiton. If you're interested, its available for collection only. -

The marleaux is very pricey that's why I was wondering. I'm not sure about the rubbery strings on the u-bass options. In a nutshell I'm looking for a portable bass that I travel with (on a motorbike) that doesn't have rubber strings. I don't mind using an octave pedal.

I upgraded a Bronco with a pickup from the Creamery. Jamie was super helpful, made one the same size so it could just be dropped in. The bass seriously punches above it's weigh now. Jamie's made Tele pickups for me too, I've never been disapointed.
