1. If its a colour thing , there is always this option and its £400 cheaper too http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=12050409483749
2. I always liked the sound and would fart about on my high schools bass during 5th year music. Despite this I took up the guitar and stuck with it for nigh on 23 years , finally picking up my own bass a year or so ago. I might be new to this but I'm picking it up quite quickly all things considered, (wife , two kids , full time job etc.) If only I had stuck with it all those years ago but at the time I reeeeeeally wanted to be Slash. Eventually got sick of playing through my Marshall Dsl so I ordered myself a little Orange combo. Should arrive tomorrow.
3. A: 10" B: 15" C: 12" If its not i'll eat a tramps socks
4. Congrats they look ace! Oh no , there is a green one... must....resist....
5. Bass no.2 but with no.1's bridge pickup fitted
6. For a little over £200 I would take a look at the Squier vintage modern series. However I'm slightly biased as I bought one last week
7. Nice! love the colour of it
8. Very cool! I especially like the shape of it , kinda reminds me of a reverse Jazz body I noticed the font of "Venture" on the headstock and its the same as the Adult Swim cartoon "Venture brothers" . I wonder if the two are connected? Perhaps the creator has love of these as well.
9. The thought has already crossed my mind I can't get my head round the fact that it needs no setting up whatsoever , plays sweet right out the box. I have a Les Paul that cost nine times as much yet took hours to get "right". Its a keeper for sure , though I have a lot to learn yet about basses in general and reading through this site I think I've come to the right place
10. That's a gorgeous shade of blue
11. How could I forget...
12. Thanks for the reply. I went , I saw, I purchased. Plays very well, and seems very well built for the price. Somewhat chuffed
13. Looking at one of these a little later on today , with the intention of taking it home if I get on with it. I've read many good things about these but can anyone tell me the downsides? Besides from explaining to my wife why there is ANOTHER guitar in our dining room. All black with maple neck/board if you're wondering. Cheers guys
14. Hi folks , thought I'd join and say hello, seems like an informative bunch here. Been a guitar player for 22 years and last year i finally picked up a bass and wished I had done it years ago. Managed to get my hands on an Esp Ltd Phoenix in an end of line sale and bagged it for £180 down from £400. At the moment it is the only bass I have but there are plans to change that No amp for it currently so it just runs through my Dsl quietly until funds allow. See you out there
