Your best pick would be the Ampeg V4-B, all tube goodness, you wont need any other head in your life, paired with Ampeg 212 AV cab is the best P Bass sound you can get for a decent price or ...you can get a class D amp (or hybrid one) that can emulate pretty well that sound but those that emulate well cost the same as the real deal, so...

I would suggest you to have a look at EBS Reidmar + 2x112 CL Cabs, they have amazing tone and plenty of power, thomann has a bundle including EBS Reidmar head+1x112CL cab and later you can add a 2'nd cab

I'm about to buy 2 x 112CL cabs , how do they perform at bigger volumes, with a loud rock band can they be used as stage monitors, did they cut through and keep their tone clean?
