1. thanks for the replies, Groovy has found one already so the bass is still available, i've dropped you a line Ahpook.
2. thanks for the heads up Matt, will do.
3. Just a feeler for now to see if there's any interest in this, I have 3 Corvette's and one of them will have to go to make room for something new. This is a 2007 Double Buck, comes with the new style bag and the tools / kit it came with. Overall condition is excellent, the body is ash, the neck is ovangkol/wenge, it's been gigged a few times and played a lot, so there is a bit of buckle rash at the bottom on the back, and a bit of cosmetic wear above the back pickup - i've tried to show all wear and tear on the pics. The ovangkol neck is in perfect condition and has been waxed regularly, electronics are also perfect, the tone is huge, beefy and very versatile. Brand new I haven't seen any of these for under £1000, I'm looking for £625 plus shipping, or if you're in or near London I can deliver it to you at no extra cost. 4.
Hmm....maybe I should do some saving first instead of buying and then having to upgrade. Basically, whats the best way to record to a Mac, under £500, with everything included?
Any half decent Firewire audio interface will do, look on a pro audio store website for prices (digital village etc), it's also useful to have something like the Markbass Mark Studio 1 (great stand-alone application / plug-in), then you might want to look at running the whole thing from Logic Express, not sure of the total cost but I'm sure it's within £500.
5. Do not use Parcelforce. They break stuff and their insurance is not worth the paper it's printed on. I assumed that their connection with Royal Mail would make them reliable (on retrospect, it was a stupid assumption) - I was wrong. Parcelforce are a bunch of useless, careless liars, they are sh!t.
6. thanks for the offer, i'm not after any trades at the moment.
7. These are just some additional pics for Etienne - this is what the case looks like when it's empty, the bit of wood with the foam attached to it can be removed but I like to keep it in there to hold the amp in place. This is how much room there is for the air to get through and for the amp to breathe, it's around 3cm (sorry about hi-res pic, forgot to downsize this one): Access for cables looks like this: Unit from the back with lid on: Unit with front and back detached: Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.
8. thanks for all the info, i faffed around with this and let it go to someone else in the end.. ah well, can't win them all..
9. quick bump.. maybe basschat isn't the right place for this one..
10. thanks for the info, the guy wants £100 for it, and insists that it's 350w, but i'm also pretty sure that's wrong. how would you describe the tone of these things?
11. Someone has offered me one of these for a silly price, so I've been trying to do some research on this combo and have found nothing apart from a few pics. It's 350w apparently, with a 15" speaker (maybe). From the 'good old' pre-gibson Trace days, as far as I can tell. Looks a bit like a washing machine from hell. Anyone here remember them? Are they any good? Are they worth lugging around? Is the weight ridiculous? How do they compare to other 15" combos?
12. I bought this for my girlfriend as a present a few months ago and she's hardly touched it, it's just been sitting in its' box for ages. It's absolutely immaculate, original box, manual, vocoder mic, psu, etc. It's stupidly easy to use and sounds wicked straight out of the box, we already have one of these in the band I'm in so I have no need for another, it really needs to go to a better home. Please save me from having to put it up on Gumtree. I'm after £200 plus postage, but I don't mind jumping in the car and delivering it to anywhere within London. Can post more pics if needed. *SOLD*
13. Haven't bought a replacement yet, I'll need to sell this first before I go down that road.. I'd be up for looking at Genz Benz stuff for trade but unfortunately the Shuttle isn't quite powerful enough to drive my cab, but they're great amps, whoever picks that up will end up with a very decent amp. Good luck with the sale. Given that the retail price of the 1001RB mkII is around £650 I'm afraid I can't afford to include the case.
14. yep, it's definately a great amp - unfortunately i need to justify new purchases somehow and i really don't want to sell any of my other gear. you know how it is..
15. No longer a feeler, this is now for sale. Couple of better pics added.
16. Thanks, I'm not too sure yet, no definate plans yet, I'll see how it goes.
17. I am selling my Gallien Krueger 1001RB mk2 to make funds available for new gear, it's a brilliant amp and has been excellent at gigs, especially when played loud and pushed hard. Condition is perfect, it's lived in an SKB case all its' life and has been looked after extremely well. *SOLD*
18. ...and replied.
19. Great little compressor, boxed with manual, was bought brand new a few months ago. Looking for £90 inc. postage. *SOLD*
20. I bought a Compulator from Pablo which I received quickly and without problems. nice one! thanks.
21. I bought Pete's '95 Warwick Corvette, which I received today in perfect condition, it arrived quickly, it was expertly packed, and it's clearly an instrument that's been looked after really well over the years - exactly as described in his ad. Many thanks!
22. Thanks Rowbee, yep this one went pretty quickly, the classic vibes are great value for money, even if you buy them brand new, so second hand ones don't tend to stick around for too long.
23. nice one, pm replied.
24. I've just bought myself another Warwick, so in order to stop my girlfriend from giving me funny looks, I've decided to sell my Squier Classic Vibe Jazz bass. It was bought brand new from the Gallery a few months ago, it's in great condition, plays beautifully, and sounds extremely close to its' Fender equivalent. Strings are HiBeams, also fairly new. (see Ed Friedland's review of the Classic Vibe series on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Cd98DH__U). Retail price is around £250, I'm looking for £175 plus postage. And as usual, if you're in London, I'm happy to jump in the car and deliver it at no extra cost. You're also welcome to collect it in person. ps the bass also comes with a thumb rest, not in the pics
