  1. Great, thanks, and do you know what the nut dimension is? Is it 42mm?
  2. Just asked this on Highfox's new bass day thread too....
  3. Mr Highfox!, Do you know if the nut width / neck dimensions are fixed on all Wal Basses? Or do you select when you order? Cheers!
  4. Hi All, I have decided that at some point in the next few years, I will own a Wal. I don't know 100% which MK yet, but I was wondering, do they make the neck to dimensions you can specify? Or do they have a standard neck size, and then anything different would be an 'extra'? I'm specifically talking about nut width if that helps!
  5. Could this be put into the '1st world problem' bucket?
  6. Yes I have thanks, many times. I really enjoyed the show too, unlike the moaning bugger behind me who just spent the entire show waiting for someone to offend him.
  7. Nice looking Amps, remind me a bit of the Darkglass cabs.
  8. Same here, but see my post up a few, I still got asked not to film by another chap there. It was one song out of a 2 hour show. I don't think that's unreasonable. As I also stated I wouldn't have got my phone out if there had been ANY indication that it was banned at the show.
  9. Hmmm, a good 'idea'. But like the article states, it'll divide opinion. I was at a Mr.Big gig and was recording one song I really liked. It was the only time I'd got my phone out during the show. I got a 'sharp' tap on the shoulder from someone behind me and he wanted me to stop filming. I told him No. Finished the song and put my phone away. Heard the same guy having a go at others during the show who we dancing too near him too. If there had been a notice saying no filming / photographs at the Mr Big show I went to then I wouldn't have got my phone out. But as there was no indication from the venue / band / promoter that phones were not to be used for pics / recordings then I didn't do anything wrong, I'd paid for my ticket the same as the guy who didn't want me to film one song.. He had his opinion about what I was doing, and I'm perfectly entitled to disagree with him.
  10. Yep, as others have said, if your are able to, I'd have it in bits and be checking everything.
  11. Well Well, I normally favour much more traditional Fender type designs, but I really do like this. I imagine the range of sounds available from it are huge!
  12. Oh Dear. Mrs LK1975 is gonna be upset....
  13. Schecter make some nice stuff, I've always fancied getting my hands on one of these: http://www.schecterguitars.com/bass/session/model-t-session-detail
  14. I've done it Dan, sold all of my pedals / power supplies / boards (apart from the EBS Sheehan pedals)......
  15. +1, excellent documentary. Well worth a watch, fan or not!
  16. I'll have to come round for that long overdue cuppa Marc and give it a once over!
  17. Yep, looks OK to me, compare it to the 60's one above it in the article, you can see it's further towards the bridge on the 70's...
  18. When it comes to Fender, there'll always be 2 sides, those who say 'Why don't they do something different?', and when they do, those who say 'Why don't they stick to doing what they do best?'
  19. Yup - I'd say that was the same as the one I was on about. Amazing looking Bass. Congrats!
  20. For me, growl is in the low mids, and bite in the high mids. YMMV!
  21. Thanks, she really is a thing of beauty, aging very nicely indeed, actually the paint is a see-through finish too, which can't be seen at all in that pic. And yes, you're exactly right, I must have thought it was an upgrade at the time, but that ash bodied 77 in the vid a few posts up sounds sooooo good, I think i'll have her on the bench this weekend!
