1. Power supply-wise it really depends on how much you want to spend. The main things to consider are how many pedals you're going to run and the amount of current draw they have. More expensive power supplies, like the voodoo lab PP2 have isolated grounds for each of the outputs, which some people will want. Also considering you've bought a pedatrain, would you want to mount the power supply underneath it? If it's only a couple of pedals and they don't draw too much current, and you're not bothered about mounting the supply underneath your board, then something like the one-spot power supply with a daisy-chain will do it, nice and cheaply. Personally, I got the voodoo lab PP2, because I had a Pedaltrain JR, wanted to mount underneath, and wanted a power supply which you just plugged a kettle lead into, plus it also has the isolated grounds, and it always works 100% silently. It's not cheap though, but can be got s/h for around £100-ish. I'm sure a few other folks will be along shortly with more options for you.
 2. What about a Barefaced FR800? http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/FR800.htm
 3.
Surprised to hear this, I've ordered 3 roqsolid covers for my Barefaced cabs and they've all been perfect.

If 1 in 3 had been wrong we'd have changed years ago! But we sell a lot of covers and even 1 a month wrong is annoying, especially if it's gone to an overseas customers.
Ha ha, Point taken, I should have expanded my statement by saying that I also have not heard any other complaints about roqsolid covers until I read this thread..
 4.
Sorry to hear about this - QC problems like this were one reason we changed manufacturer. If you'd let us know at the time we'd have been able to get this exchanged with Roqsolid for a correctly made cover.
Surprised to hear this, I've ordered 3 roqsolid covers for my Barefaced cabs and they've all been perfect.
 5.
I got Mark at Limelight to build me a PJ bass - it's based on Adam Clayton's signature fender (for purely cosmetic reasons!) so it's like a 66 Jazz, green with matching headstock, pearloid PG, butterbean tuners, rosewood necks with blocks, PJ pickups and I asked for the controls to be Master Vol/Blend/Tone which is my much preferred to Vol/Vol/Tone. It's an outstanding bass, sounds beautiful, looks awesome and it's been my preferred bass on tour over a 71 P, 75 Jazz and USA deluxe Jazz. 6.
And now there's a new limited run of Fenders emphasising blemishes... like this Strat http://www.pmtonline...ocaster-natural
Geez! Now I quite like relic'ed guitars, but that is a whole other level and I think its' awful.
 7. My advice would be to steer clear of it for now until it's resolved one way or another. All that's really happened so far is that you've been made aware that this guy is more than likely going to be fired, and if he is then you might be in with a shout. Leave it at that until they've done whatever they end up doing. Then you've no need to feel bad if you do get the job. I agree that there's no harm in learning their current stuff. It might even turn out by doing that, you may realize it's not for you anyway. And if you do get the job, don't feel bad about it for one second, there's plenty of other guys out there who wouldn't give it a second thought. Better you up on stage in a festival than one of them. Good luck to you..
 8. Signed. Still need 70k more signatures to get it debated though...
 9. Great Score - Congrats!
 10.
Looks-wise I couldn't agree more, but it prictice it counter the old P+J mix problem you here folk talk a lot about.
I'm afraid I'm very shallow when it comes to my Basses, yes they need to play great and sound great, but they REALLY need to look great as well.
 11.
Isn't there a JV in the classifieds that's been modified to dual P? Dustandbarley I think?
Yeah, spotted that one Karl, decent price too. Unfortunately a rosewood fingerboard again.
 12.
...or go the ezbass RW with dual P route... https://www.google.c...-eXEIvn3yoUPtM:
Don't what it is about dual P pickups, it just looks 'wrong' to me. YMMV!
 13. Thanks for all the inputs gentlemen. I actually had a Black Reggie Hamilton a while ago, didn't feel the love for that one, but it was super versatile with all the options on it. Yep Highfox, they look like stack pots to me on that nash, got them on my Flea Jazz and regular RW jazz, I really like how they work. Cheers Karl, haven't managed to get a look at that one yet, but given the spec you suggest it is, I imagine it's a rosewood board, and I'm really after a maple. Could just look for another RW Precision I suppose and mod that one. Leaving my other one alone. Or, perhaps I'll just ask the limelight chap for a quote, couldn't hurt, right?
 14.
Unless you have lots of experience and know you can rout out for the J pup in a nice, neat fashion, without needing a plate round the pup to make it look acceptable, I'd leave the RW alone too. Even if you can do a neat job, you'll still have a raw wood edge to the cavity anyway.
No way I'd do it myself! There's a few fine fellas around my way that could manage it though. Very torn on this one, LOOK AT THAT NASH!
 15.
The pickguard makes the bass look like a toilet seat to me
Can't un-see that now!
 16. Been thinking about getting a P/J bass lately. Google search brought up this Nash PJ (among many others): I think I did a sex wee. Now - question is, do I mod my RW precision to something similar, or go down the limelight type route? Totally torn, I love my RW Precision, but look at that Nash! Thoughts / other suggestions greatly appreciated!
 17.
This actually looks like a good cheap pedal for metal if you don't want to splash the cash: Joyo Orange Juice:
Cool - love the flip covers on them too, stops accidental knob fiddlage!
 18.
Congrats, the RW series are great instruments.....guitars and basses.
Cheers, I've also added the Flea bass to the collection now!
 19.
Yeah, but they just got this... http://bassdirect.co...y_Night_HH.html

Just love the look of that ebony fretboard without the dots.
Ah - Stingrays, my nemesis, had 3 in my time, for me they are the bass that I always think should work for me, whenever I hear someone else playing one, to my ears, they sound amazing. Then I get one, and they just haven't worked for me. I've been mainly a pick player for large parts of my life, perhaps it was that? Pretty much play with fingers exclusively now, perhaps it's time to give a Stingray another go??!!
 20. Very nice Kevsy!, got me thinking.........
 21. I can't justify having another Fender RW, can I?
 22.
Sure, when it was below the strings :-) But it's migrated above the strings now..
When above the strings, it's a thumb rest, for finger playing. When below the strings, it's a tug bar, for thumb playing. That's the general way it's explained, I think! YMMV!
 23.
I don't understand what a tug bar is for?
The idea was to hold the tug bar with your fingers and play the bass near the neck with your thumb.
 24. I've not used Darkglass personally, but I found the EBS Billy Sheehan pedals to be good for this sort of thing. They actually split your signal after the input and one gets left alone so you always have clean unaffected signal present, you then just mix in as much of the distortion 'channel' as you want. There's also a good youtube vid by Erik Arko comparing Darkglass B3K pedal and the standard / deluxe EBS. Should give you an idea. Good Luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Lewt7IQBe4
 25. I see the s/h P4 that was at Bass Direct is now sold. Lucky escape for my wallet I think!
