1. I'm assuming from your avatar you use a yamaha Attitude ltd bass, So your rig is: Neck / Woofer pickup - BA115 Middle / P Pickup - EBS Sheehan pedal - other BA115 You can use one of the loops to send a signal, you would need to use a Y / insert cable and not use the return jack (tip), just use the send jack (ring) to feed the third amp..
 2.
I can't see any differences between the Deluxe and Elite Dimension basses, as they had the truss wheel already...
Sorry Dannybuoy, I have to respectfully disagree, every picture I can find of a deluxe shows the neck end regular adjustment, albeit with a cutout in the pickguard so you can get a allen key/screwdriver (whichever adjustment it is!) in there.. The Elites heel end is very different with an actual cutout in the neck itself where the MM style adjustment wheel sits.. EDIT: re-read Dannybuoy's post after having it pointed out to me that the question was referring to the Dimension Bass, about which Dannybuoy is correct, the 'wheel' truss adjuster was indeed on the Am Dlx....
 3.
The Elite has a Musicman style truss rod adjuster, the wheel thing at the body side, I think the sculpting on the heel is different too.
By far the best truss rod adjustment that exists, IMHO. All should be made that way!
 4. Cant speak for the re-issue, but I do have an actual 75 bass with a U neck and I love it. Nut width is the same 1.5" but the profile makes the neck feel much more substantial in your hands, more 'round' feeling to me, if that helps.. My main Bass for most of my playing life was a '78 Precision, so when I decided I wanted a Jazz this was the type of neck I knew would feel good for me. If you like the look of the 70's Jazz, but are concerned about the U neck, something which may be worth consideration is the older '75 reissue, these had a C neck and may be more like you're used to.. HTH.
 5.
Does the SPB-4 add much over the SPB-1?
I'd say it's an excellent upgrade over the SPB-1, and not just for Harris fans, it's definitely got a little more output, the EQ is less scooped and IMHO gives a much more solid, 'forward' articulate sound. HTH.
 6. Couple more pictures now added to the original post - was having some trouble with file size..
 7. Yeah Cocco I still have the black Attitude ltd 2, although that may even be next up for sale too...shocking I know, but all these expensive basses sitting unused in the house seems silly really!
 8.
forlorn hope, weight please?
Sorry Tom, she's a big girl at 10.2 lbs.
 9.
Never thought I'd see this for sale.
Nor me cocco, but it's time for some consolidation, and this is simply an ornament in my house now (albeit a very lovely ornament), never gets played... If I'm honest though, I won't really be gutted if it doesn't sell..but don't tell anyone.. I'm kinda torn between selling this or my 2012 sunburst Roadworn P..
 10. Here is my 2009 Made in Japan Steve Harris Signature Fender P-Bass in Royal Blue Metallic, a replica of the Bass Steve has played for all of Maiden's career, but it was only finished in this colour from approx 1982 for the Beast on the Road Tour, right through to the No Prayer on the Road tour in 1990 (Maiden's heyday, some would say!) Its an amazing bass and I'm sorry to see it go but it unfortunately never gets played by me and it really deserves to be played by someone! I've been over the Bass many times and I cant find fault with it, Chrome Scratchplate, Badass II Bridge and I added the Seymour Duncan SPB-4 Steve Harris Signature pickups pretty much as soon as they were available to buy (these weren't available when the bass came out in 2009, they actually had the SPB-1), if you've had the pleasure of trying one, you'll know how good they sound. Only used by me at home sparingly in 7 years, never gigged even once, and has become something of an ornament now, which is a real shame for such a Bass. This was one of the first to come into the UK and was purchased by myself in January 2009 (my local store was a Fender Dealership at the time) and will come with its padded Fender Gig bag that came with the bass when I bought it, and Fender Hang tag. Weight of the bass is 10.2lbs The pictures speak for themselves, the bass is in fantastic condition. I even have the original Steve Harris signature Flatwound strings if you want them, they didn't work for me so they came off pretty quickly. These new were Approx £1100.00+, and you obviously can't get them now, since the new MIM West Ham logo model superseded it. I'm asking £850 o.n.o for the bass which is in pretty much as new condition, with Pickup upgrade. Any questions, please ask by commenting or PM. Bass is in Bridgend area of South Wales, but I can/will travel to accomodate buyer. No trades on this one thanks gents, I'm all good for gear at the moment..
 11.
Yeah, whatever happens with the BB2 I do intend to try one out. Might have to go on a road trip to Bass Direct.
Be careful, I've never made it out of there without a huge dent in my wallet! I know Mark and Marcus both speak very highly of the Vanderkley stuff, and they are both very knowledgeable chaps.
 12.
I am that punter, usually asking them to turn down the bass drum
Not heard that one yet! Sure I will in due course mind you...
Also known as the 'DFA' control...
13. Yes - you can either pay for a single sale post (£7 I think), or £20 for a year of unlimited sale posting. You get directed to the paypal link at the end of your post when you try and submit it.. HTH
 14. Now Sold elsewhere - Pending the usuals of course!
 15.
As I say. Appropriate volume. The people complaining were at the back. You turn up and the people at the front just talk louder. In that situation, you're in a very difficult place. One half of the audience want background music, the other half want a concert. In the majority of pub band cases where people have come to hear and see a band, you just won't be asked to turn it up louder than is necessary. Most modern PAs will be limited by feedback.
A particular favourite of mine (being the guy who controls our PA) is when a punter, who's been located completely out of proper earshot of the PA, tells me that our singer needs to be turned up. That's usually where the 'phantom' slider gets a nudge - (push an unused slider up a bit, 'Is that better mate?' - usually gets a thumbs up from said punter)
 16. it's an interesting question Karl poses here, and I'm assuming that the main brand for discussion here would be Fender. From my point of view, when I recently was looking for a 70's Jazz Bass, I really considered that it might be a better option to get a new re-issue Bass given the known patchy quality of 70's Fenders. In the end I spent a bit of time, tried a few genuine 70's Basses and lucked on a YOB Bass that was in great condition (actually the previous owner was one Mr. Steve Miles, owner of Basschat.co.uk) There are very nice re-issues being made by Fender right now (the current Roadworns, AVRI etc), and I think a lot of folks would prefer the peace of mind of a brand new, warrantied Bass, which looks the part anyway..
 17. Someone posted in the wanted ads for a VM4 - Won't find a nicer example of a HCA one than this! EDIT: Apologies to the OP if it was too forward of me, but I messaged the guy who posted the wanted ad..
 18.
ah there's no need to justify it I just bought that White MIJ 66 from the marketplace and I definitely didn't need it ... wanted it though!
The one with the blocks and binding? That was lush! Well done! Now if someone would just buy my Geddy Lee?
 19.
Knowing that shop a little, they're not in the habit of pricing things low. Often they'll put something in the window at a wildly optimistic price and only revise it downwards if it's been there for a while without shifting. I don't know if that's what has happened with this one.
However it's happened, someone gonna get a tremendous bargain there. I reckon we'll start seeing more and more of this type of thing. For sure, there'll always be players who prefer the sound of large, heavy rigs, but given the difficulty they present logistically and the ever growing availability of small, light and loud gear, personally, I think they're a dying breed of bass amp, certainly for the weekend warriors anyway..... Let the retort and use of the word 'heft' begin! EDIT: About 5 years ago I was offered an SVT and a matching 8x10 for a grand (friend of mine is in a large touring band and had recently changed sponsors). Thought about it just to put it in my living room!
 20. Amp-wise, Truckstop has nailed it really, a GK / Hartke head will work really well for what you need. Also where are you based? I know someone selling an 8ohm 600watt Ashdown ABM 4x10 with switchable tweeter, on wheels with a roqsolid cover for £150. Based In South Wales (Ebbw Vale) though.
 21. To the top! - for 2 minutes anyway! Ha!
 22. Yep, same as I've got - ABM1000 into 2 G3 Super compacts - yummy!
 23.
I just played an Elite P in Cardiff PMT. Absolutely loved it!
Cool! Did you buy?
 24. I don't think Pub bands were quieter in the past. What Warwickhunt says above rings true for me, more likely a case of us having to crank our gear back in the day, let's be honest, who actually manages to get their 500watt + amps past 12'oclock on the output (provided you've got the 'gain' set correct), I know I don't. Also back then 300 watts for a bass amp was about as many watts as you could buy anyway.
 25. Yep even though these would be classed as 'midrange' amps by most, I've never heard a bad sounding one....
