Preference for chunky necks here. Not too thin please, and by thin I mean overall mass. I can deal with the narrow nut if there's a decent chunk of wood back to front.
Same Here. My '75 jazz is a standard 1.5" nut but is nice and deep front to back ('U' shape I believe) and sits in my hand really nicely..

SOLD Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass 3TSB. SOLD
Think it's probably a market thing. It's pretty terrible for selling currently, from what I can tell. I'd have this in a heartbeat if I could get away with playing a 4 string in my band, I love Geddy Lees, especially the sunburst model.
Yep, I think that's true too - I do have a guy locally thinking about buying it, but he's still yet to decide, hopefully that'll come off, but I can't bank on it obviously.. -
would it be the Mexico thing? I have two of these, one in black and one in 3TSB. picked up the latter from here and it's a Japanese one tho it didn't have a Badass bridge so I added one. i don't follow the intricacies of these things so the Mex/Jap thing might not be a 'thing' in this case/anymore. Personally I love them so if I was you I'd keep it!
Could be that, I guess folk still have the perception that mexico stuff is inferior to Japan stuff. I think that's possibly too much of a generalization personally. From what I've heard, there are different 'lines' in the mexico plant, with stuff like the roadworns and signature models being made separately to the standard series, also something which has been well talked about on here is that there's been a marked improvement in everything from Fender mex / usa since 2012. And I would be keeping it if I hadn't just bought a YOB (1975) Jazz and a US '75 re-issue (gotta love the natural finish!) -

Replace my trace, New amp shopping " Andertons "
LewisK1975 replied to synthaside's topic in Amps and Cabs
Yep, if you couldn't hear the drummer because the guitar amps were too loud then that's the problem, not that your amp (or indeed the drummer) were too quiet. As has been said, you need to seriously reduce onstage volume of things like this are happening, or risk your future health, and nothing is worth that.. -
Yep, I've had no issues with them at all - bought and PX'd stuff from them a few times, always helpful and very responsive to email prior to visit. I've too found their prices are really competitive, I recently got a new EBS pedal from them, and the price was no more than you'd pay from anywhere else really, and I got to try it out in the shop. Mark also gave me top advice for somewhere nice to have a spot of lunch before heading home too...winner.

There's a new cheaper alternative to the unavailable BAII - it's called the OMEGA bass bridge - cant be got quite cheaply from the states on Ebay (import duty will add some though): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Omega-Badass-Bass-II-Style-Bridge-for-Fender-Precision-Jazz-2-1-4-Chrome-/141868799307?hash=item21080a154b:g:yokAAOSwWnFV9Ej1 Bass centre online also sell them, but more expensive: http://www.basscentre.com/bass-accessories/omega-4-string-bass-bridge.html

Agree with most of what's been said already, bad form from the landlord to just send an email for a same day cancellation, to me that should have definitely been an answered phone call / text message at the very least. And then to post on their facebook page that it was your fault, why? I can understand someone telling a porkie when being faced up by your mates who had turned up to see you, but why post the same lie on Facebook? I can only guess they had more than a few inquiries as to where the band were and so decided to try and publicly absolve themselves somehow. Can't believe for one minute though that they honestly thought you wouldn't find out about it...

2012 Fender Geddy Lee signature in 3 tone sunburst. Made in Mexico. Weighs 9.4lbs. Bought new by myself from Wunjo Bass in Denmark st, London. Only ever used at home, never gigged even once, it really is in immaculate condition. Has the Badass II bridge, not like the newer ones now which have fenders imitation of the same bridge. I have the Fender gig bag it came with (this has been used separately but it's in good nick) and the hang tags that were on the bass in the shop. Bass is in Bridgend area of South Wales but I can deliver or meet up within reason. No trades on this one thanks guys I'm all good for gear at the moment. Feel free to ask any questions! Thanks!
I've had one waiting for me at the magazine studio for over a week now. I'm here, the pedal is there... nyargh!!!!!
Know how you feel, I got mine on Friday, but have not yet had even 1 minute spare to plug the bugger in. Probably wont until maybe Thursday! I've got the guys on the Attitude Facebook page nagging for a review, and I really want to hear it too, and how it compares to the original which I have as well. Perhaps you'll save me trouble and get a review up first!
Stop tempting me....If I was to specify a custom build it would be pretty close to this. A nice bass, GLWTS!
Ha! Thanks Pinball, it plays great and has all the quality you'd expect from a Sandberg, just surplus to my requirements for now, or I wouldn't be selling. Only an hour-ish away from you too
Never even crossed my mind! Not sure why
I think there's a certain amount of expectance at a metal gig that you might get bumped and shoved a bit, or maybe get an accidental boot in the face from a crowd surfer coming over your head etc. Doesn't excuse the intentional violence that the OP describes, just I mean that maybe there's a sort of 'what happens in vegas' atmosphere which heavy gig goers subscribe to. For the record though - I think the guy was being a total asshole. YMMV.
