1. Nice! Spotted that one on one of my daily visits to the Bass Direct website. Didn't notice it had gone but did notice a s/h TT4 had appeared!
2. Awww Ade! Gutted it didn't work out for you. If it's any help to any potential buyer, this Bass used to be mine and I sold it to Ade. It's in excellent condition and will now play even better than when I had it given that it's been re-strung and given a setup. Oh and Ade is a really nice bloke too!
3. If its any use to you wishface - the special in the for sale section used to be mine, it's a lovely bass, in very very good condition. And Ade who's selling is a really nice bloke too.
4. I've had a 'special' and I own a LTD II in black as well - all of the above info is pretty much spot on. Great basses and the dimarzio pickups in them are insane. Negatives for me - They can be a bit difficult to find, second hand especially so. The LTD models are all quite neck heavy. And I agree with fretmeister above - the price of the current LTD III is way over the top.. There's a facebook page devoted to the bass too if you fancy it.
5. Hi all, Is there anyone in the South Wales area with a TC RH750 / RH450 who'd let me have a go of it through my cabs and with my own Bass? They seem to fit the bill for what I'm looking for sound-wise but as we all know, you never know until you try.. PMT in Cardiff offered to get one in for me to try out, but you have to pay a 10% deposit (refunded if you don't want to buy). I'd also feel a little cheeky turning up to a city centre store with my own bass and cab to try an amp out.. South Wales ideally but maybe Bristol-ish area could work too. Massive thanks you fine people!!
6. 'TecAmp Puma...the cleanest I've ever heard' And there's one in the for sale section
7.
Love my Puma500. I'd advise gigging the RH750, if you haven't done. It may change your mind ?
The PUMA is a great amp, no doubt - my problem is that the treble control at 8khz is beyond the range of my cabs (Barefaced super compacts) and rendered useless, so I'm having to use a preamp pedal with a 4hz treble control to get any top end. The TC RH amps semi parametric EQ really appeals from this point of view..
8. I've got a PUMA 500 in the for sale section. Super clean all the way up.
9. 2 Very Nice Basses, GLWTS..
10. NOW £400 delivered in the UK. Not 100% sure about this at the moment, so just putting it out there to see what's around. Bought this great little amp new from Bass Direct last May - It's done a max of 50 gigs since then and I haven't had any issues at all with it. Weighs nothing ( well 1.35kg / 3lbs to be exact) and is about the size of a large hardback book. If trading I'd be looking for a TC RH750 / 450. Although I do have a soft spot for Ashdowns. Try me you never know... Based in Bridgend area of South Wales but can travel for the right deal.. Cheers!! Here's the manual if you want to have a look at the specs..(download the file and then change the file extension to .pdf and it'll open in Adobe) I'll add some pics, but for info it's in A1 condition, and I have the box / manual too. 11. Not a Jazz - but this Precision is neck stamped Feb'66, so I guess that means you should be able to find one.. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Fender_1966_P_bass.html
12. I've Really been thinking about getting an RH - Can anyone confirm that the pre-amp is the essentially the same on both but with the addition of the 'tweetertone' on the 750 (and the panel layout differences)??
13. Saw The Winery Dogs Last night in Bristol - Awesome! Billy Sheehan, Mike Portnoy and Richie Kotzen at their explosive best!
14.
I use a protection racket 7051 for my MB500. As an added bonus my bass fits in it as well!
Just what I was gonna say - wont it fit in your gig bag front pocket?
15. Yup - exactly what I do - the main core of my sound comes from the EBS Billy Sheehan pedal, into a Sansamp ParaDriver. My tecamp PUMA then running set flat into BF Supercompact(s). I only ever make tiny changes on the PUMA to suit the room..
16. Yep - get some of that non-slip stuff that you can put into kitchen drawers and cut it to size. Works a treat.
17. To me, they look very similar to the version 2 California Sandberg Basses....
18.
Call me crazy but I just decide what its worth to me, bid that, and then forget about it till the auction ends. If someone outbids me they've paid more than I was willing to so there's no problem. If no one bids more than I'm prepared to pay then I win, so no problem. Really don't understand why people are so eager to hand over their ebay account details and password to a third party website for sniping. Just bid honestly.
Same here - I just bid the max I'm prepared to pay for the item, then if I win, cool. If I don't, then hey ho it went for more than I was willing to pay.
19.
I've tickets to see The Winery Dogs next Tuesday in Bristol. Very much looking forward to seeing them again. Hopefully there'll be no calamitous weather conditions that prevents us getting there I missed a gig by a different band back before Christmas because of the heavy rain and flooding.
Yep Me too - if it gets cancelled I'm now blaming you!
20. The Winery Dogs, next Tuesday in Bristol - saw them in that London when they were here last (2013) and at Sonisphere 2014. Looking forward!!
21.
Some amps just don't "work" with some cabs. I tried a few different ones with my BF Big One so i learned that the hard way...
Yup - found this out when I got my PUMA 500 and used it with the Super compacts - PUMA's 'Hi' eq control is centred at 8Khz, Supercompacts range ends around 4Khz = treble control pretty useless...
22.
I'm currently using 2 Super Compacts. They are light enough for me to bring both to a gig and then decide how many I need to use. I like the look of 2 cabs and so I sometimes set both up and just use the top cab.
Same here! Top, Top cabs...
23.
Yep, I do miss my RH750, and am trying desperately to not buy the one for £300 currently in the classifieds!
Had my eye on that one too - maybe if the OP replied to the questions on it, he might get the 'quick sale' he's looking for!
24.
all this really isn't healthy for anyone viewing :-D
I know - awful really - but one day, it will be mine, one day..........
25. Dread to think what would happen if I ever went in there. I love Precisions and if you do too, have a look at these 2 he's got: http://andybaxterbas...ils.php?id=1014 http://andybaxterbas...ails.php?id=953 Just Wow.
