1. Crikey How Much!!! Prefer the Classic B
2. "Safe Shipping" from where???
3.
It's worth a try if nothing else. A lot of the guitarists who use them say it's really good. I made the mistake of re-flashing mine yesterday. Didn't realise that you just can't copy & paste old patches from backups like you could on the PODxt. It took a while, but I rebuilt my "core" patch.
Hi Skybone You can save patches, set lists & groups with the editor on a computer via USB you can load & move individual patches as you wish with the software. I sometimes like to use my HD500 without any amp sims, just effects & looper! B
4.
God this looks fantastic!!! The price doesn't though Has anyone used this live yet? As in instead of an amp...
I would also like to know if anyone who has used a HD500 in anger has also used Helix? Any real world sound comparisons? Live practicality? Ect Some thing that sounds like a major upgrade is the ability to run cab sims to PA & no sims to Amp, I understand it can do that? I thought price would come down, but they are going up B
5. Boss GT-6B check youtube rig rundown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPz3Dd754w0

7.
Probably the best demo so far https://www.youtube....h?v=KQUmE0TfC4I Nice comparison of regular amps and the unit too. And you can load after market IRs too. Personally I like the stock ones, but whatever floats your boat!
Can those flashing foot-switches be turned to static or is that some mode He has got it in?? Brendan
8. Sounds like you are having a ball with yours fretmeister!! Enjoy! (Don't worry about Grumpy Me! I will probably own one by the end of the year!!!! LOL) B
9.
I thought their very low price was more than a bit out of step....wonder if you'd ordered it at the low price if they would've honoured it?
I wish I had tried now! B
10. The Helix doesn't seem to have much for Bass for me -- It does not have the Octaver (EBS type) of the HD500 & long gone is the Bass Driver from the (Bass) POD XT. For the price I would want it all. I agree with previous poster Line6 seem to think Bass is secondary! Brendan Edited to add type of effects I would like B
11. Thomann had these advertised at a really good price last week when they were out of stock -- Now they are in stock they want £740!!
12. Nice Rig (or Rigs!) BassBod Has anyone with experience of the MK500 tried one of these?? Any comparisons??? (I think if it had the MK's HE circuit I would of ordered one by now!) Brendan
13.
He certainly plays on this track
And This from the same Album (The Gift)
14. There are even more great bass players on Ferry's solo albums. Late one's (Boys & Girls on) heavily feature one Mr Marcus Miller!! B PS RIP Spenner & Gusto
15. Ah OK pity Sorry I can't/won't buy anything I can't try/collect! GLWS Brendan
16. Is this Bass in the UK? Thanks Brendan
17.
Hi Brendan... If you are anywhere near Edinburgh your welcome to try my Xotic XJIT 4 ..fantastic basses IMO....John
Thanks for the kind offer John, I am actually going to Glasgow this week, but unfortunately we won't have time to visit Edinburgh. The Xotics look real nice glad you are lovin yours! I am biased towards Xotic at moment!! Brendan
18. Any opinions (anyone tried both?) on Sadowsky Metro vs Xotic J type Bass's? Both built in Japan and similar price -- But which is best??? I might get to try a Sadowsky Will Lee (Metro) this week. Would have to travel to try an Xotic. Any thoughts or recommendations??? Thanks Brendan
19. What is the weight of it?? Thanks Brendan
20. My 6 String version of the S1 Classic mine is from 2001 Brendan
21.
No, definitely not. I wanted under 30, preferably under 20, but the 22 W Fender 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb sounds SO good, and received so much praise, that I had to get one. I used to have a much larger/higher wattage Hot Rod Deville...and it sounded nowhere near and good as this 68. I think even my Dual Terror at 7W is too loud through its matching 2x12 cab. The two practice amps noted are both solid state and are both 10W....and smaller speakers, (especially the Yamaha). We are talking a volume that isn't intrusive at all...
Have you tried your bass through the 68 Deluxe Reverb ? Do you think it would work at as a low volume Bass & Guitar amp (out not in house) ? Brendan
22. Pats tickets to Manchester show. Sorry to rub it in LOL
23. I've not tried Audacity, but another vote for Reaper B
24.
Small PJB boxes, low output levels and hiss are in my opinion a fact of life. I had a Markbass 1x8 box that was about half the size of the cub but twice as loud and sounded much better with bass to my ear. The only PJB stuff that has worked for me in gig terms has been the larger boxes, but they tend to be both prohibitively heavy and expensive. In fact, I got rid of all my PJB on the basis of weight alone - if I'm going to lug that much weight to a gig it's going to need to be justified by several large tubes and the ability to wobble lower limbs. PJB gear is very very high quality in so many respects. But....
Beedster: Was that the Micromark 801? Anyone: Know if Phil Jones solved the high-pitch noise on 240v ?? Brendan
25.
Something from Zoom might do you. I've got a B1on. It was around forty quid. https://www.zoom.co....ss-effects/bass
I have got a B3 & Line 6 Pod's both suck too much tone for me! The Fly Rig is Analogue Brendan
