1.
The Font is to small , & I'm not the only person to say it .
No You are not Kevin -- The text is way too small & the info in boxes is total unreadable. I have stopped buying it!! Brendan
 2.
I'm not sure it's worth arguing...
& Double Bing!!
 3.
Well since you've made no effort to provide any context, nobody has a clue what your criteria are. What's to stop you making exactly the same remark ad infinitum? In fact, if I were of a cynical disposition I might start wondering whether this has anything to do with guitarists or bassists at all. I might go further and wonder whether this isn't just a pot-stirring exercise...
Bing
 4.

I'm not convinced by any of the comments so far. Maybe Paul McCartney. Otherwise ...... pfffft!

If You mean Electric Bass Guitar? Then it is a "Guitar" all "Fender Bass" players play them...
 5. Where are You located?? Brendan
 6.
Valueable info, I just went to D'Addario's site and found that they indeed do .028 and .024 wound bass strings (single strings). I wasn't aware of these. Thanks!
Paul, Status do a .020 (& .025) roundwound as a single in the custom set section a their site.. Brendan
 7. Cricky two of those and a Helix -- Yeah that's a dream rig!! B
 8. Dave Gilmour, saw him play bass with Sam Brown in the mid 90's B
 9.
I had a HD500X before the Helix. For pub gigs there's not all that much in the tone really but the Helix is massively more usable - Scribble Strips, Snapshots... make a big difference. For my use the quality in sounds is less important.

I have all of my pedals out on the floor at the moment trying to decide what's going to be the best option. Do I really need the LT? - well, I would LOVE to get a pair of FR800's and the LT. That would be me done really I suppose (love that volume control on the top panel!!) - but that purchase is going to be a very, very distant dream!
Thanks Iain, the sound is the most important for Me not sure I need the fancy stuff Squabble? Snapshot? -- So the sound quality is similar??? Dood what are FR800's??? Brendan
 10. Status do a 25,35,55,75,95,120 hotwires set
 11.
If you want to stick to just playing 'bass' then.. I can tackle lead if need be and provide a higher register ... More flexibility, more options, more noise. Basically sir, to each his own.
This Plus a 1000 B
 12. Oh My fantastic!! GLWS Hope this comes to UK & comes up for sale later!!!! B
 13.
I'd love to compare a Helix LT against my HD500x.
Yeah I too wish someone would do this! B
 14. That's stunning, DiMarzio PU's ?? So glad it worked out for You (followed other thread) Brendan
 15.
Nevermind all that... MICK!
Wow thanks for that. Never seen it before, He puts some of the Dali's Car riffs in there! B
 16.
Poor little mite, that's bordering on abuse.
LOL that's the first thing I thought! B
 17. https://www.theguard...reginald-arvizu !!! B
 18.
Have you tried STATUS? I don't personally like there strings but you might and I think they do custom sets or maybe Pm our very own dood I think he gets strings made up for his 7 string
I think Status have stopped doing Flat & Halfwound !!! Which is a crying shame (their old halfs were great!!!) B
 19. It will be interesting to see if You can find someone who can supply the Hi F (is it a 20?) string in flatwound. Have You considered halfwounds? maybe more options? Brendan
 20. Where are You based ??? Brendan
 21.

I Love the DX7 B
 22. P.S some cool Bass stuff in the examples on the L6 website... B
 23. Oh that's good to hear, the website makes it sound complicated (I didn't read all the blurb) I was worried it sounded like a complete reset was needed! (If You do that to a HD500 You have to reprogram the ex-pedal, etc.) If it can do the different output to XLR or Jack (amp sims to PA not monitor) then I am starting saving!! B
 24. Ahh this might make Me "Vor Sprung Dork", better price, would suit My needs. The software still seem like a faff though when You read the info on Line 6 download site!!! ???
 25.
I paid £200 each for my secondhand Rickenbacker 4001's in 1980/81, one of them was a checkerbound/horseshoe/toaster pickup model. In the mid 80s I nearly bought a mint condition used Wal twin neck with case in a music shop in Birmingham for £399. That's what the prices were back then, comparing them to what the same things sell for now is just masochistic.
To put things in perspective though we bought (mortgaged) a new 3 bed house in 1981 for 11 grand!! Nice nostalgia though Steve -- Bass Centre was cool back then!?
