  1. Is there any chance you and the drummer can do a side project? Sounds like you're on the same page and have clicked. That'll mean as much to him as you, worth trying to keep that going.
  2. Yeah I know what you mean, they do look a little cumbersome. How about a clear one though?
  3. I'd want Phil himself playing it once a week for that price. Jokers
  4. What I'm going to tell you now is highly controversial and, if seen by those in power at BC Towers will likely get me thrown out of the group. But... For a short term solution to get that bright, new string sound, pop your old strings in a pan of boiling water for a few minutes. Dry em very well, get em back on and bingo, you have brightness again. Probably only last for a few days, but it's a quick win. Used to do it all time when I was a youngster and couldn't afford new strings. Keep it under your hat though eh..? 😉😬
  5. Could be a couple of things, wrong scale length (you've got a long scale bass and have bought short scale strings) or they haven't been pulled through the bridge correctly. Either way, nope you can't use them this afternoon unfortunately, back on with the old ones and out with the tape measure (nut to bridge) to confirm your scale length (measure in inches).
  6. Screws you say? Yep, they all use em, time for some court action I reckon 😬
  7. That sounds suspiciously like a plug to me... 😂 Hit us up with a link to your channel, you may up that subscriber count 😉
  8. Same, I much prefer the process in the studio. I'm also quite the introvert too so performing in front of people is a extremely emotionally and physically draining.
  9. Condolences to you and your family
  10. Any uhh... Mods or all original?
  11. +1, that's been worded extremely well. Re. Their teeth, I note it says "work not play" campaign, so I'm doubtful if there is any legal backing to their position. I assume all the MU can do is shame REMT into paying?
  12. Unfortunately not, it's just that was one of the criteria from Pete's wish list. Preaching to the choir fella, check out my profile pic, big berg fan here. They're definitely not expensive for the quality and are imo a better instrument than US Fenders, but even 2nd hand you're lucky to get one for less than £700.
  13. Bang on, except for the "make it cheap" spec. Probably need to be sub £500 I suppose
  14. Hmmm that does look like a NS, the top horn is definitely slim enough. I did find this on YouTube earlier, not sure if it is an NS, but that's what the owner in the video has called it...
  15. Exactly! I came across a Jazz which a previous owner had put a P pickup in already (I also swopped the control plate to 60s stack knobs) which sound great, but I just prefer the Precision body. Tbh, it's a bit too heavy (knackered back) so it'll probably end up for sale before long and I'll finally commission the custom build I've always wanted 😁
  16. Haha I'm currently on a gas break so be my guest 😁 I genuinely don't know why Fender don't have a range of P's with Jazz necks though. I see a lot of the custom basses (limelight etc.) being spec'd that way, seems there'd be a market for it.
  17. Right, yeah you're spot on. I'm a bit old school so would like a non deluxe passive version. Happy with PJ though
  18. Uhh, excuse me, but you seem to have forgotten this... Write new material..!
