  1. Can't stop looking at this, it's beautiful. Read through the build diary earlier too, fabulous attention to detail. Do you do commissions?!
  2. +1 for black strings but with red silks! Also, you've got to get a black jack socket Looking the biz tho, that fretboard looks very cool 😎
  3. Well, it's definitely a limited edition bass (one of 500 made) so I'm sure that there are those who've bought one to keep as an investment. As those will have been kept in pristine condition, any basses with signs of play won't be as (potentially) valuable in the future in comparison. So, if the one you've got your eye on has any marks etc already, I wouldn't worry at all about keeping it as a case queen.
  4. Cool, this is gonna look great. I can just imagine the excitement when the one in a million bass question comes up 😜
  5. Bingo! That's the one, cracking knowledge 👍🏻
  6. Its funny, I was looking for a red tort plate for my black P earlier and one of these was on a bass that appeared in the search results. Looks great on the bass but I can't find that picture again 🙄
  7. Saw them at the Jazz Cafe last year, absolutely brilliant. Andrew Levy was just walking around before the gig but I was too shy to go and say hi. Proper bass hero
  8. 😬 Tbh, I didn't actually use an iRig, I'm way too cheap. It was a few years back but I bought a cheap interface cable off eBay, probably from China and it seems to work OK. They don't seem to sell them on there now, but this is the cable - http://www.lunashops.com/goods.php?id=3511
  9. Shame, its a neat solution. Just plug in via an iRig connector which the bass and headphones also plug into and you're good to go. Lots of free amp apps available with loads of effects, you can record and even collaborate online.
  10. Have you tried an ipad with garage band?
  11. Early Faith No More (thinking The Real Thing & Angel Dust albums)? Pretty much covers all those genres already, just switch the parts to suit the individual.
  12. Heh "Thrill as they delight upon their instruments"
  13. Try dropping the Warwick bomb in a Spector forum! I once asked why Spector fans get their tits in a tangle about Warwick whereas Fender fans don't seem to get stressed about the multitude of Fender copies... Well, now I know in no uncertain terms that US Spector fans in particular really, really care about copyright laws... 😄
  14. 😄 Other headstock styles are available 😜
  15. Thanks v much. Time for some googling!
  16. Can you expand on this? I'm aware that cabs are better off the ground but without knowing why. Ta
  17. @Stub Mandrel thanks for that (cool bass BTW!) I have thought about a traditional thumb rest like that, but I'm looking for something to sit vertically to use as a thumb "anchor" as opposed to a rest (pretty much the top of a bridge pup) if that makes sense.
  18. Cool, thanks for that. I've been playing my P today and thinking I could do with a little rest just where a jazz pup would be, then I see your post. Think I may see if I can get one 3d printed 👍🏻
