1. Just bought a Maruszczyk Elwood from Tonci. Everything went exactly as it should, great guy to deal with and the bass is exactly as described. Top man
2. Mine now!! 😎 Arrived in the UK in record time safe and sound. I've had a good couple of hours with this bass now and I'm really impressed. Fit and finish and top draw, it plays beautifully though does need to be set up to personal taste. Really happy with it, fantastic bit of kit. Finally I have challenger for my sandbergs number one crown Detling with Tonci was an absolute pleasure. He's a real gentleman and made absolutely sure I was kept fully up to date with the delivery etc. The bass is exactly as he described. Top man!!
3.
Well I could be totally wrong on all fronts!
Maybe 😂
4. It certainly seems like these basses are all about customization, there's a vast choice of electronics, pups, scale (even fan fret). Very cool
5.
I dont know really, can you see from my pics?
I don't think so fella. You may need to get the tape measure out and do a quick nut to bridge measurement
6.
No not blind or stupid. Aren't most of these 34" scale?
Haha that's very generous of you As far as I can tell, you can choose from, 30,32 or 34 with these basses so it could be anything..?
7. Yeah I've looked there but can't find the scale. Am I being blind and/or stupid? 🙄
8. Thankfully my sanity is saved by owning another one of these awesome basses, otherwise it wouldn't have gone anywhere:) I'm really pleased you like it so much mate, and to find "the tone" from it is awesome. Sorry about the battery though, didn't even think to test that before we did the deal! Cheers Steve
9. Stunning!! Wonderful craftmanship, looks absolutely beautiful.
10. Someone buy this, quick!! I'm already in the doghouse...
11. Just did a great deal with mick. Fair & friendly, absolute top man. Cheers Steve
12. Thanks bobbass4k. Turns out I'm an idiot and didn't have the scales calibrated properly. Just weighed again and its coming in about the same, around 5kg. I don't really want to sell this one tbh, but my '99 is the keeper. It doesn't have the figured maple cap so is a little thinner. Not sure that's the defining reason I prefer it, it just has that magic ingredient that makes certain basses unsellable. Cheers!
13. Hi mate, just weighed it and it's coming in at a lightweight 6lb. All, I've just weighed again and although it's still showing at 6lb, I'm not confident that the weighing thing I'm using is accurate. My Fortress is coming in at 7lb, as is my Sire. I don't have any other way to weigh it and I can't seem to find anything on the net I'm afraid.
14. Cheers Ead. I think you're right mate, was that made during the SSD era?
15. Bought a Sire V7, absolute pleasure to deal with. Top man
16. Thanks to a new arrival (Sire V7, awesome, from Harry, also awesome) this lovely bass has been relegated to pre-sale hardcase. It turns out that 10 guitars is 1 guitar too many... I bought the Spector about 18 months ago as a back up to a '99 version of this bass (which is going to the grave with me). They don't come up for sale very often, so when I saw this on eBay, I picked it up. I sent it to get a checkup & setup at the local shop and since then it's been used very lightly at home, spending most of its time looking pretty in the rack. The NS2000 is a hidden gem, and this one is in almost perfect condition. There is one small dink by the jack socket which is the only mark on it. CORRECTION- the dink is on the top of the top horn. Pics here with more to follow https://goo.gl/photos/tenyE7M6QqnN8TPK9 Specs are awesome and it feels like a proper Spector, maybe not US level, but definitely comparable with Euros. NS-2000™ fully carved body Figured Maple Top Maple Wings Neck-Thru construction 34"4 String 24 frets Three Piece Neck Dot Pearl Markers Rosewood Fingerboard Passive EMG HZ™ pickups Active EQ - 9v Black hardware Spector Locking Bridge (Korean Import Version) I'm open to offers on this one as it has to go and as this is a one in, one out thing, no trades sorry.
17. That fretboard is stunning! GLWTS!!!!
