1.
for example: if I boost the low mids and lessen the highs on the LMK11 does that translate to be heard out front thro the PA sound??
Briefly, until the sound guy cuts the low mids and increases the highs at the desk to compensate. S.P.
 2.
Are there any examples of people playing the 8 string that aren't just metal riffs?
Try searching YouTube for 8 string guitar. I found plenty. You can tell by looking at the thumbnail whether the guitarist is going to be a metaller or a jazzer. S.P.
 3.
Don't mean to be thick, but is that a bass we're looking at there? I've lived a sheltered life obviously.
Not far from it. Guitar scale and narrow string spacing, but the lowest note will be F#. S.P.
 4.
Oh but they do! (Still need to order one for my new cab) Apologies for the rubbish phone picture
Is that black and yellow? That looks more like blue and white. In fact, that's the same colours as the first version of my amp cover (the one that was two inches too short). Same cover, maybe? S.P.
 5. Well I'm certainly not going to be ordered anything from Westside Music Centres, Taunton, in the near future, let me tell you that. S.P.
 6.
Sounds Very Tempting
Silence Vexes Trolls. S.P.
 7.
If the other two band members answer your ads, make sure you include "The Pina Colada Song" as an audition piece.
S.P.
 8.
Way off point but I was wondering what SVT stands for?
Super Valve Technology. S.P.
 9.
I'm thinking of blocking the vents with tape and reversing the polarity of the fan so that it will vent to the outside of the case. As I'll be using a lower speed fan than standard, I'd be interested to know what you think.
Reversing the fan sounds like a pretty good idea to me, but unless there's a vent on the front of the amp, you might find that blocking up the rear vents actually hinders rather than helps. S.P.
 10. Thank god Tony has found this thread. Hopefully some sense at last. S.P.
 11.
The neck is unreal in feel and function. Is this a good thing, do you think?
"This neck is unreal in function. Its sole purpose is for capturing the ghosts of sparrows." S.P.
 12. She'd be a terrible bassist if she weren't so good-looking. S.P.
 13.
Bad Year for Selling = Good Year for Buying, n'est ce pas?
Only if you want what's on offer. Buying stuff that you don't want, just because it's cheap, is a risky game. S.P.
 14. Depends on the cost, but sounds to me like a top notch idea. S.P.
 15.
Nice sentiment and possibly better aimed at someone less fortunate. I will have some £80k once the house sale goes through and we are now renting for the forseeable so afford it I certainly can; I don't envisage paying more than two payments on the old HP before clearing it.
Pride comes before a fall. The biggest losers in the recession weren't the people who took out loans that they thought they'd struggle to repay - it was the people who took out loans thinking that they were invincible. Seriously, if you're expecting to be loaded in two months, and you don't even have a particular bass in mind, then why not just wait? If you desperately need a second bass, then stick with getting a second-hand Squier CV or something. S.P.
 16.
You'd think so wouldn't you? Very frustrating because we all know that, if we were looking for a rig, there'd be no deals like that around!!
Yup, exactly. If I had the storage space, I'd even consider buying this rig with a view to flipping it for a profit at a later date! S.P.
 17. Surely someone on here has got to want that, at that price? S.P.
 18. Nice video, good polish on it. Looks like you all enjoyed the recording session! S.P.
 19.
So what´s a fair price for this lovely bit of lumber?
(checks pockets) I'll give him £9.50 for it. S.P.
 20.
Do you know what iron he'll be using?
Mashie niblick? S.P.
 21.
If I can sell my ^ I'll have this off you. Any pics? Here's some of mine: Front Back Close up
I used to have one just like that. Always regretted getting rid of it. S.P.
 22.
It's a little over priced.
Dude, read the rules and guidelines. Stuff like that should be in a PM. Are you trying to sabotage his sale or something? S.P.
