1.
I got offered a lovely one for a little more than that from my old boss about 8 years ago. If only I had a DeLorean.
That reminds me of my biggest regret, actually, which was selling the DeLorean in 3 years time. S.P.
 2.
Awsome! Please let me know when it lands. I'd love to see it. Looking forward to it.
WoT: Wow BottomEndian: Wow WoT: It's... BottomEndian: ...I know... WoT: ...so... BottomEndian: ...I can plug it in, if you like. WoT: Maybe later. S.P.
 3. I personally wouldn't, but if you can spare the €75 then why not give it a go? S.P.
 4.
plus 3 = 1623
+4 = 1627. Also, yorick's 9 got lost earlier on, due to a simultaneous posting, so that takes the total to 1636. S.P.
 5.
and i will be needing a lead to go from a power amp to my cab.speakon to jack.any ideas where i can get something really good? thanks, tim
Here. S.P.
 6.
lots of people don't like the way carpet bobbles or collects dirt
...not to mention how the cat assumes that it will be a scratching post. Of course you can buy a cover for a carpet-covered cab, but I like my rig to be uncovered and ready to play at a moment's notice. S.P.
 7. What about a 2-tone burst in purple and orange? Now that's jaw-droppingly gorgeous, I'm sure you'll agree. S.P.
 8. Stop it with all of this craziness! Stick to root notes! Know your place! S.P.
 9.
Maybe buy a metronome..(although my dad hates them!)
That's because he's a drummer, and drummers don't like playing to a metronome or click track, because it shows up the imperfections in their timing (not that they should be ashamed of small deviations in tempo). However, as a bass player, your job is to synchronise your timing to perfection with the established beat, irrespective of whether it's being set by a drummist or a metronome. S.P.

 11.
I was of a similar attitude to this guy when I was his age so I know how he feels I suppose.
Yep, I remember when I had been playing for a few months, I thought that I was as good as the pros. It's said that the more you learn, the less you know. S.P.
 12.
Been on here three times already and I doubt this will be the last. Did go up to 70k once though...
Here and here and here. 13.
New to this site and just wanted some tips on gettin better at the bass. I am 15 and already pretty good. I would say I am as good as most pros and me dad sais i am the best he has heard. I am looking to get some session work soon, my dad knows some people he sais. Anyone have any tips for someone starting out playing bass proffessionally?
My first tip would be: compliments don't count when they come from your friends or family. I think that session work would be an excellent way of finding out, from an impartial source, how good you are. S.P.
 14.
Why would this thread be revealed by Google but and Off Topic thread wouldn't? I didn't know that.
Off Topic and Site News are only visible to logged-in users. There might be other examples too. S.P.
 15.
At the top of each page you get a root directory locator/linked page hierachy (>Basschat.co.uk>"The Local">Site News>Site Issues) - would it be possible to repeat this at the bottom of of each page of the thread? Between the last post and 'Fast Reply' buttons maybe. It would make navigation easier than using the browser back button or scrolling up to the top of the page.
There's a combo box down at the bottom of the page which allows you to navigate to another forum. Admittedly more clicks are required, but it's better than nothing.
Options>Board Settings allows you to set the number of posts a page up to 40 if that helps.
Cool, didn't know that you could do this. Thanks. S.P.
 16.
I know what you mean about watching them all running for the front. to be honest i dont think i could stands there, crushed for hours on end. Maybes it my age.
Or the fact that you don't have a vagina. S.P.
 17.
I've used Interparcel without any problems though I seem to remember that their T&Cs stipulate no magnetic material, which might cause problems if you have to make a claim for your speaker.
You'd also need to remove the pickups from your bass and post them separately. S.P.
 18.
does it mean I can't use two 4ohm cabs (which would give 2ohm)?
This ^ You can use one compact or two, but not three or more. S.P.
 19. Comparing bass amps by wattage is like comparing cars by top speed, or computers by GHz, or cameras by megapixels. It's not a universal measure of goodness - it's just one factor of many. S.P.
 20.
Email - None Supplied
email address here S.P.
 21. I'm getting the same error - the site is probably down. You can get the cached pages from Google's index, if that's any help. results. S.P.
 22.
And then my true contender for Bassface of the year:
Looks like you're soiling your keks there, mate. S.P.
 23. I joined my first band before I could play. S.P.
 24. I heard that things weigh less in water. So what I suggest you do is get a big watertight tank that is big enough to contain your cab. Put wheels on the bottom, fill it with water, and then drop the cab in. Voila! S.P.
