7. Hi I'm selling a MarkBass F1 head. You probably know all about these....very compact and light, great sounding (especially for funk, jazz, blues, pop if you ask me....wouldn't use t for metal), loud, the perfect amp for the bassist on the go! Google it for great reviews on the Intra-Web! I used it for my function band gigs last year but as I don't play that much bass anymore(only guitar!) its sadly just sitting here so I have decided to sell it. I've got pics somewhere so I'll try to upload some at some point. Read more here: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...rk_Bass_F1.html Still up for trades for guitar related stuff...amps, guitars....whadday got?
8. ehhh..."blushing"....I used to own this bass and actually found the ashtray thingy that covers the neck pup when I moved house a while ago....happy to post to the seller/buyer against P&P. Carl
9. Hi We are looking for a solid and experienced bass player for an exciting originals project. We believe in the art of songwriting and is currently out and testing the songs armed with two acoustic guitars, or performing with fully arranged tracks at various festivals. I think we have played the songs for well over 10.000 people this summer and response has been absolutely fantastic. Next step is to put together a band for recording album and gigs. The gigs will range from acoustic gigs to full production. We are female fronted and the material is influenced by artists like Alanis Morisette, P!nk, Anastacia, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Evanscene, Pendulum, Lady Gaga, Madonna, The Script, Incubus ....think modern energetic pop/rock with a dancy/funky beat. You: Need to know your chops, solid, good ear, reliable, own good gear and transport. We're not doing this for the money but for the love of the music BUT we are actually being paid for performing our own music (yes, how unusual is that!) so there is a little bit a cash involved to at least voer expenses, a beer and burger..... Age unimportant - we are between 30-40 Get in touch! 07590-552 045 Carl
10. Hello! My new studio is coming together really nicely so I have decided to let go of some stuff that now is surplus to requirements: Genelec 1029A Studio monitors. I have used them for on-location recording and they come in a very sturdy and light waterproof flight case. 5 years old, very nice nick. They have the Genelec family sound so if you like Genelecs then you know what I'm talking about. Price: £500 incl case (worth £100). The blurb: The extremely compact 1029A is a powerful bi-amplified nearfield monitor system ideal for project and home studios, digital workstations, and surround sound monitoring. The monitor has a very rugged cast aluminium construction and magnetic stray field shielding as default for every single unit. Vented speaker enclosure contains an amplification unit, including an active electronic crossover, overload protection circuitry and two power amplifiers, one for each driver. Genelec's unique Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™) is used to provide excellent stereo imaging and frequency balance, even in difficult acoustic environments. Versatile room response controls allow matching of the system to its surroundings. If very large sound level and low cutoff frequency are required it can be complemented with the 7050A subwoofer. The 1029A is very easy to set up and use, the only connections required are the mains supply and the line level input. The input is made via balanced XLR female or 1/4" jack socket connector which can also be used in parallel. Apogee Duet Audio Interface - Perfect companion for a MacBook and Logic Studio! I bought this in July 2008 and have used only for some off-site work, maybe 50 hours or so. Apogee's nic pre amps adn AD/DA converters are legendary and this well designed unit just sounds fantastic. Not to mention how cool it looks next to a MacBook Pro - togther with Logic Studio it makes the perfect portable DAW. It comes in the original box and I want £300. They are £369 "street price". Read more here: http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/duet.php Apple Logic Studio New: £312 my price £225 complete boxed etc. Please email me for pics. 11. Hi Sorry not interested in bass gear at the moment......the V-type combo is VERY tempting though!....must not be tempted.....
12. Hi I hae decided to let go of my EBS Drome 12 combo. Short facts: 150w (but loud watts!), 12" speaker+a tweeter, MosFet power amp, great EQ and lots a very nifty features for the gigging/recording bass player. It has been my main go-to amp for all sorts of gigs the last year....function bands, jazz gigs (it has a greats notch filter perfect for upright bass), small rock gigs...you name it. a 12" speaker + a tweeter Other key features: a very good compressor/limiter, Character switch (solid state/tube), 4 band eq with a sweebable mid freq, balanced XLR-output with spkr-simulator....really good for recording!, headphone jack on the front, effect loop etc. There's a monitor input on the rear panel that let's you connect a CD-player etc - great for practicing. Small foot print and very light ....18 kg me thinks. It is in very nice nick ( I look after my gear) and everything is working properly. I got it from a fellow BassChatter (but I can't for my life remember who!) who used for upright gigs. I think I'm the second owner. Price: £500 (they were well over £1,000 new...) Picture: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry214010 Here are some reviews: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...+112+Combo/10/1 Here is a link to EBS website (please note that this for the new and more basic "classic" cheaper version made in Korea...mine is Made in Sweden!) http://www.ebs.bass.se/2007/combos.htm I'm open for PX for studio gear: right now looking for a pair of Mackie HR824 MkII's or Adam P22's. Other items of interest: Fender Telecaster and a better (+£1,000) acoustic guitar.
13. ohhh.....thin lizzzzy! I saw them in -77 I think it was Live and Dangerous Tour, not sure. In any case it completely blew me away and i bought all their records the week after. many years later i was in a covers band playing a lt of Irish venues in Europe and we used to do lot of Lizzy songs. I played guitar then and used to do Scott's parts. I love Live and Dangerous - I know it's not a proper live album but it really sounds great.....and the songs are among lizzys best (I think) as it never was the same without Robbie.....all the other guitarists where obviously great but something changed....
14.
Cheers, Carlos. I can understand why it's still here. Current climate, bad time of year... To be honest, if/when I do sell it I'm in biig trouble as it's still my main cab. ha ha. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
ehhhhh...I actually had a coupled of people interested in my cab so if we are a lucky I might be able to buy yours! Basschat IS a wonderful thing! Oh - I'm not sure what you had in mind but if you are after something "old School" I'd recommend a Bergantino 4x12. I I had it when I lived in Canada but foolishly sold it before I moved. another cab that has a relaly nice old school vibe is the now discontinued Sadowsky 410...not very 4x10 sounding at all but very fat and warm sounding cabs. Good luck!
15. it's still here....amazing.....very very good cab. And the custom styling it looks way better than my "standard" styled cab. hmmm...here's a deal...if someone want's my standard 410L I'll buy WOT's.
16. I use my fantastic EBS Drome 12....unless its a silly loud band I'm rehearsing with. In fact the EBS is getting used on 90% of my gigs nowadays....compact, great sound, and despite "only" 150W loud enough for most of my gigs (as I'm running it throught a PA on all all gigs anyway.
17. Hi yes it used to be mine and I can vouch for that this is a fantastic bass. The string spacing is adjustable to 18,5 mm (from 16,5 if I remember it correctly). It's a very forward sounding bass so if you are into heavy rock or similar you can't go wrong. That said, I used to have flats on it and used for many jazz and latin gigs as well. Its's also a headturner, I always had many people coming up to me after gigs and asking about the bass. good luck with the sale!
18. I had the same problem! I loved the sound to bits but I had to get rid of it in the end as I simply couldn't find a comfortable playing position. Antway good luck with the sale - they do sound awesome!
19. these are great cabs...I've got one and I can really recommend them! And I must say WoT's custom design look MUCH better than the ordinary styling that I have. Good luck with the sale - someone is going to be really happy.
20. I met him once. I was really looking forward to it but ...I never ever met a grumpier person in my whole life! Apparently he had a really bad day so his mood was worse than ever. In any case, we had a god session and his playing was absolutely amazing...such presence and the tone...omg!
21. this is a great combo - i used this for years and it worked really well for sorts of occasions. someone is going to be very happy.
