  1. 3mm Birch Ply. Looking into air popped corn.. making one is quite quick if you have a sharp saw and a battery drill-driver.
  2. brilliant. I had seen this with IBM Server hardware... I didn't know if it could be fed to the hens or goats here
  3. Aww I am pleased. Its a bit of work, but its worth knowing you have done the best you can when shipping delicate instruments internally or abroad.
  4. I used to be “Punk Pony Princess Precociously Packing a Priceless Pink Precision” ...And its been declared found, paid for and no longer lost/stolen. I don’t have access to Facebook or Antisocial media so could those forces for good please update accordingly?
  5. They usually do, sadly I was not there for the pickup but my partner was not given one. Buyer has sent me a photo of the package arrived and the taped over screw holes remain unmolested. With the data from the GLS and the Parcelforce stickers in the photo they sent me I can get a complete picture of the parcel and it sat in the local sorting office for 11 days — even though Interparcel said searches did not reveal it and declared it lost. Fingers crossed for a happy ending. The buyer had been exceptionally patient throughout this entire process.
  6. I like plastic wrap too. Some carriers say black wrap causes probs for inspection. Its mandatory for palletised ships. I also sent my JJ build Bass build crated. Again, no probs. I think a crate is a good thing to make for all basses not just £1500+ vintage basses and technically the original flightcase it came with (with original price sticker) deserves shipping protection. 12mm Featherboard, 2-3mm ply, screws. It can be reused/upcycled/repurposed or turned to kindling. I feel bad about styrene though, looking into alternatives..
  7. The buyer has been a dream buyer. I refunded them immediately the thing bass declared lost so its up to them if they want to accept the parcel. Perhaps the awfully big CCed email explaining the situation and asking for more details I sent put a rocket under things? Normally Inspection flags as “inspected” or “held” message doesn’t take it? Not just disappear with GLS telling Parcelforce it has disappeared. Its really odd — plus several parcels another Bass, that ash fretless PJ build went crated like this at the same time, as well as the JJ PJ Bass. I do know some carriers like a card wrap around a wooden crate and I have been advised to never use black plastic for international shipping.
  8. It has suddenly appeared and is currently being prepared for delivery. After I refunded the buyer, of course. Will be interesting to see what happens. I have asked them if they want the bass to check it has not been opened before signing for it. Nail biting times here. 9. All I have is the unique to Interparcel tracking code (they like you to go through their website).
  10. It was Interparcel who sold the shipping. The pickup was Parcelforce who got it to Belgium and the rest was GLS (which was where it went awry). All my basses I have shipped in crates including a fretless PJ Ash I made to Belgium in the same shipment was fine and arrived without hiccup. It happened to be the posh one that had problems. I take an insane amount of care in crating even the lowliest of basses. I wouldn’t know what to say to a CEO.
  11. Sadly a bass I sold on Basschat to its buyer in Belgium never made it to its destination so its been declared lost by Interparcel (it was via Parcelforce/GLS and it went missing in Belgium in the Nessonvaux region about the 19th Nov. It was inside a flightcase itself shipped in a screwed down anonymous looking crate with insurance (but these shipping companies always try and wriggle out of insurance commitments where they can) and I will come out the worse for it, but that’s that. I have since refunded the buyer and I await the shipping company to process my claim. Anyway these are unusual basses and its in a crate, in a flightcase and is stickered with the serial number, so HMU here or in email to [email protected] if it surfaces. Its the one listed in the advert attached
  12. Up on eBay (with the usual ebay/paypal fees markup) but still for sale here.
  13. BTW: I don’t ship in cardboard and bubble wrap but I make custom packing crates for each and every bass i sell which you can reuse, repurpose or dismantle or sell *your* bass to make room for this one in. You may want to get a screwdriver (even screws can be saved and reused).
  14. *that* black one... Gosh... Here’s my bitsa pink horror (albeit a MJT custom build with some fantastic parts) I take when I’m sure I’m gonna need to go nuts... i.e. anytime doing punk.
  15. Price includes EU shipping. Weight is 5.2kg - too heavy for me now. Partial to offers/trades but not Basses. I’m downsizing. This isn’t one of my builds but a bass I impulse bought in Seattle in 2015 and lugged back to Scotland. Its a copy of a G&L ASAT but with a proper G&L heavy bridge. Its pretty in all black, vintage thick gloss finish and Pearl binding. I was going to fit a Kickass 4 bridge, rehape the headstock (to a Telecaster), remove the decal, make it more like a Fender/ASAT/Schecter Baron Tele Bass — hybrid but I never bothered & left it untouched. It plays great with a really gnarly punk tone. I would keep it but I really dont need the number of basses I own. I simply want to get back to two. Pots are vol/vol/tone: Neck is long-scale Maple Truss adjustment at headstock 21 x jumbo frets. (Feels like a C profile, quite agile). 42mm at nut The Fingerboard is a hard rosewood or ebonite Neck is bolted on with stainless steel bolts Wilkinson Tuners The neck has pearlite bindings and the body has a matching pearlite binding. The Body has a Fender neck pocket, looks like mahogany with ash top and back. Ibanez Bass Pickups (look like Ibanez PFR N4/B4s unlike Alnico — but possible, it has quite a high output) It has no dents but it has small paint scratches between the rear pickup and the middle control pot and on the back top, easy to fix..(highlighted in pix.) Its a live playing bass. One to go nuts with. Nothing too fancy or foo foo. This is not a G&L ASAT but that bridge is a proper G&L Bridge. It’ll come custom-crated with a fresh set of rotosound roundwounds. I think it would make a good basis for a modding bass or a gift or a standby or as an all rounder. If no one buys it I will donate it, but I have a few bitsas in progress already while i empty my bits box. Here’s a shot of me with it live.
  16. A great buyer. Nice and clear and easy comms. Everything good. Trusted and recommended. Thanks.
  17. This pedal isn’t getting used as much as I had hoped it would. Stellar performer and in prettyo good shape I’ve shown where there is a slight mark on the case on the back and at the left hand side but nothing that you’ll notice when in use. As always dark glass products never fail to deliver although in my case I don’t need this Fuzzbox. Lovely rage of fuzz though. Price includes special delivery shipping.
  18. A solid seller, but y’all know that. Great pedal, great price, bullet proof packaging and good comms. Everything is good..

These are indeed the latest Mk2 models and not the Mk1s Being studio monitors they are often sold individually to suit surround sound and non stereo configurations, but I have a pair for sale.
