This bass was custom made for me in 1995. It has same wood combination as John Patitucci’s Ken Smith. (Walnut/Maple – body wings, Ebony fingerboard). This bass was my only one instrument for 5 years, next 6 years I used Ken Smith together with Jazz Bass on stage. I’m still using it approx. 4 times a month. I did use this bass often but as you can see on the gallery, the instrument is in very good condition and it has just a few dings. This bass sounds awesome. I still have original strap locks by Dunlop and black original strap on side. This is my sale feeler offer, please no lowballing. Thank you Wimpy click here for gallery: http://www.kensmith.wz.cz/

I have J-Retro for few weeks from guy from basschat.uk , I like it a lot but I want retro preamp for my Marcus Miller bass so I decided is better to trade it for marcus retro, than make new marcus miller plate with J-Retro holes, also possibly to trade with sadowsky on board preamp (OBPWVT ) thank you W.
Wimpy, I've just installed a Marcus-Retro in my Fender Jazz. It's actually a J-Retro plate with the Marcus preamp that John East made to order for me and it is sweet. From John East's info the J-Retro has the following EQ: Treble: +12db@3kHz, -12db@1kHz Bright: +8db@7kHz Bass: +15db@50Hz Mid/Frequency: +/-12db 150Hz-3kHz The Marcus Retro has the following EQ: Treble: , -12db@1kHz Bright: +8db@7kHz Bass: +15db@40Hz Mid/Frequency: +/-12db 150Hz-3kHz I'm lovin' it right now.
thank you...I have J-retro for short time and have to wait for gig with my big rig after tomorrow to test it well... but after tonight gig with my little 110 Combo it sounded great....more smooth than OBP3, well more active like but nice...I like It with my new Antiquities II pups...
