1. I've just read that ebay are planning to increase their sellers fees for guitars from 3 to 10% of final selling price. So if you sell that sexy 70s jazz for £1500 they'll slap you with a bill for £150. As the boy scouts motto says "Be prepared".
2. Welcome on board. There are a few of your fellow countrymen on here and even a Brit resident in France.
3. I'm interested in all the responses here. Ironically, when logging on just now there was a tangtrade popup/link or whatever they're called next to the Hartke add on the homepage. We're being infiltrated. I do agree with one of the posters about the quality of Gibson logos at the moment. They are pretty appalling. Why is this being allowed to happen?
4. I've seen a link to this a few times and decided to investigate. Basically it is a website selling fake Fenders, Gibsons. Rickies etc. How on earth can it be legal or ethical to knowingly import what are so obviously copy instruments? A cheap Rickenbacker 4003 anyone? 6. They are all good, however I would recommend secondhand purely for value for money. Plus if you don't like it you can sell it on with little or no loss. Warwickhunt is our resident expert on these basses and may be best to advise you. He may even have something suitable.
7. Just sold a bass trainer to Andy. A nice easy transaction. Recommended.

11. How about Paul Webb (Talk Talk) or the wonderful Andy Rourke (The Smiths)?
12. Welcome onboard. Some nice gear you have there. I can only repeat what the others have said and ask for some photos.
13. I met him too many years ago (maybe 1986/87). He was doing an MU workshop. If I remember correctly he was playing with a guitarist called Les Davidson. It was a great night. They opened with Jeff Beck's 'Escape' and it sounded amazing.
14. Welcome on board.
15. Currently paying homage to the understated genius of Andy Rourke by playing Bigmouth Strikes Again and That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore. Plus a bit of Rush ...any Rush.
16. Hi and welcome on board.
17. Oops someone was thinking the same as me. ...also if you copy the link into the google bit of your browser it takes you to a vintage guitar website with some oddly priced items for sale. It's gone 1am and I have my tired, cynical head on.
18. I'm surprised how nobody has commented on the fact he's advertising a right handed bass but on the linked video (and all his other videos) he's playing left handed.
19. Welcome to the forum. It's a great place to visit on a daily basis.
20. Well it's 1.30 in the morning and I'm stuck at work til 7 so I'll dig out a photo of my Euro LX when I get home in the morning. As for the difference between the US and Czech models I really can't see a massive difference. I've played both and loved both equally. The quality of the Euros is excellent.
21. Welcome on board the friendliest bass website. I've been to Philadelphia... okay I stopped at the train station en route to Washington DC.

Er... This has been posted twice. See my reply to your other post.
23. I recommend Ged Green. He's a really nice chap and could happily spend the day in his workshop. http://www.gedgreen.co.uk/ He was building a gorgeous jazz bass last time I was there. He does work for Elbow and the Cranberries I believe.
24. Welcome on board the friendliest bass community there is. Whereabouts in the US are you?
