Is it just a Bongo or would a black 3 eq 'Ray with maple neck sway you? (and the fact that I'm 20 mins up the road in Wakey )
If you can widen the neck, change the pups and bridge, get a low B squeezed on before you get here we might have a deal -

Ok since visiting Tayste and playing one of his old Simms Watts I have realised the sound I am striving for comes from old 60's/70's basic valve amps and a big 4x10 which I now have in my arsenal so the Mesa is going to feel unused... Below is the bumf from the guy I bought it from Mesa Boogie Buster Bass 200 combo in excellent condition. It's the 2x10 'wedge' version. 200W all valve. Now discontinued & very hard to get hold of. specs: 200 Watts, All Tube, Class A/B Power / 6x6L6-427, 3x12AX7 EVM Basis Speakers Assignable 7 Band Graphic EQ Parallel FX Loop w/Mix Level Control 600 Ohm XLR Balanced Out Silent Record Mute Switch Tone Luggage™ Transport System (clever slide out handle & wheels system) Recent revalve by previous owner and gigged three times since then never higher than 40% volume... make no mistake this is a very loud combo Here are the piccies from the previous owner too... I'm sure he wont mind And now the important bit £725 ovno Thanks for looking

Good condition works perfectly, but my whole set up has just changed and I have a new ToneFactor compressor so this is no longer needed £80 plus postage or trade for something interesting.... another pedal La Bella Flats (5 string) anything interesting I don't need 2 compressors on my board come on guys and girls
Did the guy from Stringbusters mean ALL LaBella strings or just the flatwounds? Just curious as I've used LaBella Slappers for a few years now & I've never had any problems at all.
We were discussing my needs for flatwound strings so I would summise just the DT flats I'm quite disapointed actually because I've just had a couple of hours practice with them using one of the old EB G strings to replace the La Bella and they sound fantastic on the bottom 4 strings.... just sounds a little strange when I jump onto the G I love the tension on the E and B string If anyone has an old non faulty G La Bella that is going to the bash tomorrow, could they take it with them please
FWIW, I've never had a problem. It's a shame you didn't give them a second chance. You never know...
For me it's a cost and time thing, and to be honest I hate buying stuff if the reseller/dealer is unsure if the replacement is going to be faulty as well. From the conversation I had it seems like they get a lot back and La Bella either don't listen or don't care. Trust you to get a good set ) muttergrumblemutter

After reading the experiences and glowing reports of La Bella flatwound strings I took the plunge and ordered some from stringbusters... So they arrive very promptly from stringbusters and like a giddy schoolkid I put them on my stingray, immediately I notice the B string is stepped at the bridge so lift the saddle to compensate and all is good and they sound great apart from fret buzz on the G string so I lift the saddle a little and still it buzzes, so I lift it a little more and guess what? yes it still buzzes. So now the G string is quite a lot higher than the rest of the strings. Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the toolbox at times but even I was starting to think there must be something amiss here as none of the other strings are having problems. Get on the phone to stringbusters and explain my problem. Without missing a beat they offer to replace them but the guy also tells me this is not uncommon for La Bella strings. The upshot of this is I now have a set of Thomastic flats on the way and I don't think I will bother with the world famous LaBella flats again if their QC is that poor. I must mention how good stringbusters customer services are though... very helpfull and quick to offer a solution, oh and honest which goes a long way in my book Waits with bated breath... again
AHH! it's resurfaced! I bloody love that SUB, but yet again it's come up at a time when I have NO money whatsoever! Good luck with the sale, hopefully it'll stay within the BC family and reappear at a more wedged-up period of my life!
I must admit that looks nice... on a lighter note just bought a van today from the guitard of a tribute band called the Jam'd isn't it a small world we live in?
Which one is you?
Thats easy One of em has got straggly hair, eyebags like saddlebags and a silly shitkickin grin and the other plays for the blockheads just kidding Zoe... well done you I bet you were made up I spent an evening last week jamming with a guy called Craig (a fabulous bass player who plays for Barclay James Harvest) just made me realise how steep the learning curve still is
But surely the amp is designed to be able to be daisy chained?
I would have thought you can put what you like on the single output as long as it equals 8ohm. With the greatest of respect I suspect you don't know what the resistance is of your daisy chained cab setup. Can the resistance not be checked by putting a multimeter (set to measure resistance) across the jack that you would plug into the head? I am no expert in the field and have nothing to gain by sticking up for Markbass I am simply pointing out what seems glaringly obvious to me. Edited to remove comment that sounded curt even though it was not meant to
So I can't daisy chain them then??
I had a Jeff Berlin Combo which uses the same head (badged differently) and I used all manner of cabs and it never gave me one iota of trouble. I would try running two cables rather than persisting with the daisy chain idea which seems to be causing you a lot of grief. For the cost of buying another amp > cab cable it would definately be my next step PS Thinking logically... if the amp is shutting itself down but then working again I would summise it has some kind of protection against incorrect loading on the outputs and so is effectivley "tripping out" rather than just just melting
