1. Pretty cool bass when you can hear it in the mix... snare is overpowering everything else by a country mile for my tastes Sinking it back a bit into the mix might bring everything else up a little...
2. When are you thinkin of posting the stuff you sold lol
3. Go to the White Swan on Stand Street on Tuesday evening, ther is a jam night there that my mate runs. A drummer turns up there every week to play (nickname animal) have a chat with him... A bit of a rough diamond but he know his stuff.

8.
I thoroughly enjoy the song, but it's a beautifully cheesy classic, and I stand by this! so there! *harrumph*
+1 And hard to handle too ^5's Phil
9.
As long as it's not too far away - we'd prob be up for it. Wag The Dog
WOW I am green with envy... look at your set list Always been a big SKA / RudeBoy fan (was one in the late 70's early 80's) I wish I could get our band to play some of those... nearest I get is Clapton's cover of "Shot the sheriff"
10. Hello Antonio I was in a similar position to you not too long ago and a freind of mine sugested I try going to a jam / open mike night to get used to playing with other musicians... I can safely say it was the best thing I ever did and funnily enough it was near you too. (White Swan on Stand Street in Radcliffe) Learning to jam really brought my playing on leaps and bounds and has made learning new songs a lot easier for me, plus there are always lots of musicians there to help you out. Most of the jam there is based around blues but there are a few people that like to do covers too. Get yourself along on a Tuesday night and have a go... relaxed atmosphere and good fun
11. I sit the Markbass 1x15 on top of an ashdown 1x15 so effectivley 500W through 2x15 Having said that I am just about to get a Markbass 4x10 to replace the ashdown 1x15
Not my cup of tea, but.... I would definitely add another cab, a 1x15 or a 2x10, which would improve headroom, tone and volume.
12.
It's spelt Rockers and yes, they're on Denmark St. http://www.denmarkstreetonline.co.uk/index...d=20&shop=5
Part of the same chain as music ground and bass cellar... I might be wrong but I doubt you will get any differences in price between all their stores... It seems to me that Bass centre and Bass Gallery are the other two dealers down there. Just my .02
13. I love my corvette 5 to bits but really need a second bass for gigging and rather than get a cheapo as a backup I'm going to get something nice AND different to give me more options. Don't you think MarkBass CMD 151P's are good enough then? lol
If you've got a Warwick do you really need anything else? How about finding a really nice playing Fender Precision or Jazz and then improve the electrics (East) and pickups(EMG, Bartolini, Lindy Fralin)? There are also a couple of nice Laklands for sale here on BC. Then spend what you've saved on a better amp or cab.
14. Just having a quick look it sounds as if it skips up to the Bb and then back to the Eb and then drops to Bb then up to C and then back to Eb
15. Thanks for the replies so far... Not really hung up on who makes them, just interested in what you guys think of them at the moment. I really like the look of the Status but as I said I'm not sure whether it is an "all rounder" as all I ever hear played on them is slap lines, does anyone on here use them for say mowtown / soul tunes and if so is it hard to get the tone right? Re: spectors, have tried them in Reverb Sheffield and never has my under been so whelmed... the low B was rubbish on them all, not a patch on the warwick IMHO (Puts Lakland and G&L on to try list) To be honest I am after something with a smaller profile neck than the Warwick and greater diversity of tones
16. OK here is the deal... Looking to get a second bass and have narrowed it down to a select few 1) Bongo 5 HH - Have played one and was totally blown away by the tone (and spectrum of) as well as the neck/action 2) Status S2 Classic - Not played one yet but everyone I've spoken to rates them highly although all the vids or audio has them being slapped... do they only do that tone? 3) Overwater / GB / F bass - Not tried these yet but I will have done within the next week apart from a GB My problem is having limied experience of bass guitars (Only own a Warwick) I would like some advice from the masses / Font of all knowledge. Our band is a covers / function band covering most of the musical genres so I need something tonally versatile. Any advice welcome
17. Find the version on Youtube and get the timestamp of the riff you are looking for... There are that many versions of this track (luckily we only do the Zutons one lol)
18. I wonder if it's a ghost account the seller was using to try and up the price?
19. Is this info from their website incorrect or out of date? The Bass Centre Limited Business Reg No: GB577838868 3 Tenter Ground, Brune Street, London, E1 7NH, UK The store, including our in-house workshop, now occupies dedicated, air conditioned premises on the edge of the 'square mile' in the city, minutes from Liverpool St. tube and mainline station, with free parking on Saturdays right outside.
20. £460.00 now thats what I call a value for money bass lol Shame it was only a 4 string
21. 2 mins to go still 450 quid
22. Has this got under the radar or is it the right money? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Status-Graphite-Bass...emZ190240084557
23. Warwick Streamer Pro M on here for 400 quid i think... hell of a buy
24. MarkBass CMD 151P Gain 12 oclock EQ > flat VLE 9 oclock
25. Had a Line6 LD150, great for the bedroom/practice.. Pants in a gigging situation In my opinion you would be better getting more quality sound than bells and whistles for your money
Tried all three of these recently. Preferred the Fender Rumble 100 to these ( all in the same shop ), but bought an Ashdown Electric Blue 15". Can't remember the model number, but they only make 1 blue 15"er. Way nicer sound than the others ( none of the gadgets though, which I didn't want or need ). Looks great too. Seriously loud. Seriously heavy. £220ish.
