1. I've been involved in some pretty intense trading of gear over the last few weeks culminating in me being the proud owner of a PJB24B and now a Demeter HPB-1 so tonight I set aside a couple of hours to play and see what tones I was happy with... well... I set up my old Peavey MkVI XP into the 24B and WOW lovely tone and probably well loud enough to play any of the gigs I do, so then set up the demeter through a power amp I have on loan and was not overley elated, sounded ok but not what I was expecting to hear, so just on the offchance I put the Demeter as a preamp to the peavey to bypass the peavey preamp and OMG it blew me away... great attack and a tone so musical I could have cried, I am absolutely amazed, yet again I have found the perfect sound (until the next time lol) DID I MENTION IT WAS FEKIN LOUD!!! I am officially a very happy bunny
2. Thanks Owen ...and a bump
3. Are you sure it wont support 8 ohm? although cant imagine it's output would be exactly devastating as its only 250 at 4ohm Anyway Bump to the top for 30 secs approx
4. Come on guys... Is it too dear? Its exactly what I paid for it 4 weeks ago, and a quick look at fleabay shows it's about right if not a little too cheap.. Open to trade offers and there is a little leaway on the price
5. 12.
8< The 24 version must be bloody awesome
Eh?... what you say? <holds hand to ear>
13. Bump for these cabs... I've just got the 24B and they work differently to every other cab I've played through (and thats quite a few). they don't sound like they are pushing bass on the stage but stand at the back of the venue and you can FEEL the bass, it's as though it's going through you. Awesome kit, I might be tempted myself but the 24 is probably enough
14. Piccy of MATAMP 2x12 loaded into original post
15. OK me bad Just removed 75mb of old stuff
16. I bought a set of these (ebay item number 120712190969) and put them on my peavey 4x10 I can push the cab with one finger, very good quality wheels
17.
Interested in the matamp, any other info on it please? Ta.
Certainly... It's 4 ohm, 800W, it's a sealed cab (infinite baffle), it has ferite drivers not neo's, it's covered in black tolex and has the picture frame front with black sound cloth. This cab was the very first 2x12 bass cab Matamp produced as they didn't make them until I asked for one and they went through a few driver configurations until we found one one that worked as well as these do. It's not the lightest cab but I've lifted it in and out of my van lots of times and I used to lift it onto the top of a 4x10 every gig. The drivers alone are 240 quid to buy. A few Basschatters have played through this and all said they loved it... When I first had it made we run a Mesa 400+ through it at full tonk and it didn't break sweat. I would love to keep it to be honest but I have so many amps and cabs now and nowhere to keep them I am having to be ruthless (well She Who Must Be Obeyed has told me I am having to be ruthless) and she did let me get the PJB 24B

19. A good match would be my Matamp 2x12 rated at 800W 4ohms sealed and loaded with with 2 Delta Pro 12A drivers... it was designed to be used with my Matamp GT200(200W valve amp). Very Loud and punchy. PM me if you aree interested and we'll argue about a price (Just got a PJB 24B so no longer need the 2x12) but do need the space
20. I can't beleive this hasn't made the cut yet Boogie Nights - Heatwave
21. Slap Bass Sounds like a Pneumatic Staple Gun with a dodgy trigger I'd love to be good at it though
22.
What an awesome purchase. Put a door on the back of the cab and it could double up as a nifty wardrobe/dressing room.
LOL... Only if you are 3ft 6 tall ...which I might be after lifting this in and out of the van a few times
