Well, pedals are down there! I don’t see any harm in it. If you’re spilling your drinks…then you’re not drinking them!!🤣 -

Oookkkkk….. -
Yes, still under with the taxes. Shipping included. I want the British Racing green but it’s not available….it must be a special order in the video. There is an video of the Ric factory somewhere…it shows completed 4005v’s. Found it!

I have a FG 4005 V ordered right now. Under $4,000.00 US dollars. The expected delivery is in summer 2024. I’m very excited!

I added LED neck markers to two of my fretless basses. FretFX.com
-
I think I sent them an email in June of 2023. Yup, it takes a while. That’s why I ordered 2 units because I kind of knew I would want them for another bass. I think it’s possibly a one man show at FretFX.

Installed FretFX LED’s today.

Installed FretFX LED’s today. My tired eyes at gigs will welcome this.

after that project. The lower tap on the P pu quit working. I had to send it in for a repair…ugh.

Putting new foam under my Fender/Schecter p/j. Wired stereo, tapped pu’s. I also put some glow in the dark position markers on it….my eyes are getting tired on a dark stage. I assembled this bass originally in 1982 using a 1971 Fender fretless neck. The cat is of no help.

Thank you. I’m disappointed with the control plate route. The just slipped a little when routing. I probably should make a custom control plate. I has been on my “list”. But my recent build is playing and sounding very nice. Even though there are very similar. I’ve been playing this more.
-
Thanks, I forgot. I need to take a few more though. It’s been my #2 bass since I built another very similar one.

That would be a nice stereo/Rick-o-sound rig!
-
Thanks, I do too!

My “newest” rescue bass head. Crown, 60’s, made in Japan. Probably about 30 watts. Finished today. Too many $$ in it🤪.

My improved stereo rig. Note the smaller repositioned MarkBass logo on the 102 cabinet. -

I’ll raise you…! -
The PU’s are laid out like a Rickenbacker 4005. It’s wired stereo. Neck pu has plenty of bass and the bridge pu has the crunch. I run effects mainly on the bridge PU when I use them. Mix at the amp settings to my pleasure. In stereo mode, there isn’t any scooping…of course…in mono there is.

Further testing today. I added a nut to the output jack so it wasn’t so high on the control plate. And..I had to insulate the jack area from the paint-on shielding. It was shorting out the treble PU. It seems to have a very different sound from my other walnut bass of the same basic design. This one has a Maple/ebony P neck and new and improved PU’s. It sounds like it has more low end from each PU. Especially the neck PU. Played through this rig. Very smooth sounding if that makes sense. Especially for Rotos. More testing required. I’m taking it to rehearsal tomorrow. Also, for single coil PU’s, it’s very quiet…at least in my house… Thanks for your interest

I installed the PU’s today…tested. It actually plays very good with minimal adjustments. No shim. I lowered the strings a bit, a 1/4 turn on the truss rod. Sorry, I took minimal pictures.
