1. Not often I offer advice - but put some pictures of your 70s Precisions up in the gear porn section. And there's only one 't' in equipment.
2. I'd quite like the neck, PM me if your willing to break for spares.
3. Time for my 15 seconds of fame again. I used to play through Graham Gouldman's backline once in a while. I reckon that's the fifth time I've brought that up on here now.
4. Me too. And your classic P neck is definitely for me. Sadly, would have to sell before buying though
5. Guitard/singer/frontman and the keyboard player come up with the songs. They knock up a well-formed demo, then we try and better it as a band. I plod along as best as I can.

7.
WHAT!!!! This amp hasn't sold already?!!! Are you all mad?
It would have gone at least a week ago if I could have raised the cash. My son's first few weeks at secondary school have hit harder than expected though plus I can't get it together to sell some gear. This bump's on me.
8. Already stalking this one...
9. Um, ahh, um ahh
10.
No need. He can make a quick getaway in his Porsche.....
Unless some chav has pinched it...
11.
Its amazing what you find on the Web. The 1981 event was an accident! http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/gear/guitar/smashed.html
A bit of a follow up to this. Interesting 'accident', I wonder if that's what went on the insurance claim. The sequence of events might be a little blurry as it was nearly 30 years ago but it was definitely not an accident. It was during Naked Eye (possibly an encore), I remember Townshend having trouble with his strap or straplocks and having to play with the guitar squashed between forearm and torso, then a string broke. At that point you could feel the anticipation in the crowd and sure enough the Schecter was smashed, splitting lengthways up the body. Strangest sensation I've had at gig, close to the sort of bloodlust you get at boxing. I was less than 20 feet away so I can speak with more accuracy than usual
12. Keep it, play it...then sell it to me when I can raise some cash
13. Quite distracted me from the Hotel Inspector, all this. Excellent stuff
14.
www.forum4gulliblefools.com is a great resource.
Sign me up, cheque book at the ready
15. I saw Townshend smash a guitar live at the Manchester Apollo 1981, it was most definitely not a cheapo passed to him by a roadie. It was also hugely exciting for the 18 year old Deaver. I also saw Daltrey mouth "how much did that fakkin' cost, then" at the end of the song.
16.
"Misadventure"? Is there something wrong with it?
Not it no. Something always seems to go a bit awry when I venture into the world of Eastern tosh.

Another of my misadventures in JapCrappery
18. Clarky, how many do I own or how many of your old ones do I own?
19. A bit of a tryout really as I try and grapple with the technology, gig footage from a few months ago. Sound is not too hot but fans of peculiar English dancing styles may find it of interest
20.
Think the stealth black Alembic may get its first punk gig airing - not sure the audience will spot that its not a regulation Fender
They will if I'm in the audience, spotted this a bit late but I'll try and negotiate with Mrs D
21.
Tonight our band is playing at the local naturist camp at Cap d'Agde on the south-east French coast. The venue is a bar at a naturist camp site. Cap d'Agde is well-known for it's naturist facilities and attracts people from all over Europe, especially Germans. I'm guessing that concentrating on playing the bass might be difficult when confronted with a naked/semi-naked audience. To answer the most obvious question, no, I will not be hiding naked behind my bass as I expect to be dressed, as will the rest of the band.
Without pictures it won't have happened
22. Dizzy Miss Lizzy, at Jumping Jack Flash in Stockport sometime in 1983. Burns Flyte through a Wem Dominator, can't remember a lot more. The nuclear alarm for Stockport was rumoured to be in the dressing rooms, which seems fairly unlikely but those were simpler times.
23. Well there you go, I was on the archaeology excavations there back in 89/90.
24. Catch them if you can they're bloody brilliant. Supports not too shabby either.
25. See you down the Winny Gate tonight, I'll be the tall bald bloke stood with the short bald bloke.
