  1. Especially if he was using Rotosound Swing Bass (66) like almost everybody back then in the U.K., and I seem to recall that it's what he used to play.

  4. My mate of the bass duet plays an original one: it's damn heavy, and they've always been whatever SB series model...
  5. The Eastwood models are no signature, but derived from, so there's only one Yamaha signature bass and an Elite signature set of strings. A tad little short for this thread. Definitely a confusion between signature and gear used.
  6. About Kenneth Lawrence: First he's a great bass player too. Second he's a talented luthier up to the level of Ken Smith, Carl Thompson or Vinny Fodera and the likes, if you decide to stay in the USA. He also made a lot of guitars for James Hetfield, who is certainly a reference for great talent, but that's another story. https://www.facebook.com/KennethLawrenceInstruments/
  7. This is not a scam shop as you'll get what you paid for: an expensive postcard or an A4 poster if you are lucky. There are many websites like this one.
  8. I think you're confusing signature with gear used, especially for Peter Hook whose one and only signature gear to date is his Yamaha model, but I may be totally wrong...
  9. Welcome to the world of instruments made in the USA or anywhere in the world. 0,79375 is the answer, and not 42. 🤣
  10. So, yes it's a huge possibility, and quite common I would say, as CBS bought Fender in January 1965 with the intention to dismantle the company, so they used all stock components available to build instruments. The pots should also be from 1966 as they bought the whole remaining stock from CTS back then. Instruments built from 1965 to 1969 can be weirdos with different years for parts, but to give them a date, it's always the youngest one that counts. And I wonder how the seller can date the body to 1967 as, except if there's a date hand penciled, the bodies were the same?
  11. Which screws ? The ones for the bridge itself or the saddle height screws ?
  12. Nope.
  13. As they even recreated the original bridge, it should sound like the original, just hoping it's not a 15.5 mm strings spacing anymore, but at least an 18 mm strings spacing like all original chrome bridge models.
  14. It totally confirms it @andyonbass. I was about to suggest you to use this trick, but we have a family lunch right now, so was asked to be ... present. 😉
  15. Hélas no, furthermore it's a known issue with the Boss Waza Air, and it's even written in the manual. 😉
  16. For those interested, here is the module used in the Sumo: Do your homework now. 😉
  17. Yes, it was. Furthermore here is the third reason: Your pickups have black bottom (the plate receiving the magnets) when the American ones have grey bottom with a stamped 6 digits code ending with 82. Check this original 1982 American JV pickup Jazz Bass pickup (with plastic wires that may have been changed at some time):
  18. Very nice looking carbon fiber effect, that said...
  19. This is the typical sound of a PWM power supply. I guess when putting it back together, the negative of the battery and the ground have been reversed on the output jack of your bass.
  20. Yours are Japanese for at least two reasons: First, they have plastic wires, not cloth wires. Second, they have coloured plastic tape around the coil, not a bare coil.
  21. Lovely ! 😍 GLWYS.
  22. I was waiting for this @tauzero... 😉
