  1. Another lesson : an electric bass can be played unplugged... Buy a passive one, easy to carry, with 30.5 inches scale in Trans Red and the problem will be solved.
  2. I would use a more crude word than intrusive.
  3. The more I watch it, the more I like it...
  4. Very nice LeFay Herr Schwarz with 4 D-Tuners à la Michael Manring...
  5. Harry, may I ask you why you don't use your router for the deep cavities like the neck pocket or, here, the control ... cavity ? I've always used a router for this, in multiple passes, of course. To me, it's easier and faster than drilling holes first. You certainly have a very good reason for this way of working, but each time I'm watching your great work, I'm wondering why... And as ♌ too, like me, don't take it the wrong way. 😉
  6. Here it is, converted to mp3, but don't I know what tune it is, even if indeed it could be Spyro Gyra : Voice-003-sd1.MP3
  7. You are mistaken the imperial pound (lb) with the avoirdupois pound (lb av). They do not weight the same and only 1 lb av is 16 ounces or 7000 grains, but the earlier lb av was 6992 grains. 😂 🤫 You gotta fight for your right to part ... it ! You can also use the French pound which doesn't weight the same from town to town. Dividing is always a good way to gain power, gun powder power in this case.
  8. Another tip : use open strings to check your intonation. And get it perfectly set up by a true luthier. Forget the myth of the round wound ruining your fingerboard. I had my first dressing after 20 years of intense playing on a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard... And no it's never been epoxy treated.
  9. For those still living in the Middle ages : 4.250 kilos is 9.370 lbs. 4.505 kilos is 9.932 lbs. 4.690 kilos is 10.340 lbs. Welcome to modern days, where since 1999 the royal measures are supposed to be part of the past... Yek yek. 😁
  10. @dmccombe7 As mentioned elsewhere, my 450 B is 4.505 kilos, my DMZ 6000 B is 4.690 kilos and my The Duke Deluxe Trans Red is 3.665 kilos. Finally not that heavy for such infinite sustain basses. So a good guess for a DMZ 4000 would be around 4.250 kilos (no Bad*ss, only one pickup, less pots, no backplate, that would be 400 to 500 grams less than say my DMZ 6000 B).
  11. Used to be mine. Note that every single metal piece is golden, including the pickups pole pieces... That's a really rare model. GLWYS.
  12. Indeed, Paul Webb used a fretless Kramer with one single P-Bass pickup. Not 100% sure it was a DMZ 4000 though.
  13. Dave, it always comes when you expect it the less. 😉
  14. I like these Spalt basses a lot and nearly bought one...
  15. Both ads reported. I think we all need to do this, this way we may help some poor person not being poorer.
  16. And both ads reported right now. Please do the same.
  17. On a 4 string, the pickups have the Fender size and covers are removable. Changed the pickups on two Sire's and put the original pickup covers on one, but it needed a bit of TLC as the magnet rods are smaller on Sire, so I had to enlarge the holes to perfectly fit.
  18. I still have a see through red Kramer The Duke (Deluxe). Great basses indeed. May put it for sale one of these days...
  19. Looks like everything has been removed from eBay, including 2 other items (Tobias and another Ritter I was following). Hacked or blocked ? Did someone report these ads ?
