  1. For all these buzzing problems there's a very simple solution. This cable : https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Aero_DBuzz.html Seems expensive, but what it does is simply amazing.
  2. The first question to answer is this : single or double action truss rod ? If it's a double action truss rod, the nut is non removable, so the only solution is to replace the truss rod, which means going to a luthier or politely ask @Andyjr1515. If it's a single action then the nut can be removed. As the nut is already dead, what I always do is cut the long part of an Allen key then glue it with two components glue in the nut and then remove it using the correct standard key to unscrew the whole assembly.
  3. @ped : still nothing onto my Swiss bank account. Did you use the same data center than the one you asked me to flood with water to transfer these zeros ? Or did you forget the 9 at the front ?
  4. Beware @Teebs, the army is marching on. Hi mate and welcome to BassChat.
  5. Too bad I play a 6 strings bass...
  6. Now, I have found a solution. I play alone on stage dressed in leather with a diamond pearl necklace, but strangely only males dressed like the Village People come to see me...
  7. And make your plug even more sensitive to corrosion... 😉
  8. In the past, I was muting with my pinky. It's another (not so well) known technique, but it's very effective when mastered. That said, I ended up putting an Elio Martina Bass Mute that @jrixn1 mentioned on my gigging main bass, which was way more easy for the lazy guy I can be.
  9. In fact it's a very early model with an added bridge pickup and a stupidly useless ugly battery cavity added on the top wing...
  10. These are so rare that he didn't even bother thinking about it when taking the chisel to slaughter it. 🤦‍♂️
  11. This little helper is quite (quite because it doesn't clean switching contacts) a good idea, but I think he's living alone as his wife would have killed him after putting a lot of WD-40 on the kitchen table ! 🤦‍♂️
  12. Not enough cats and basses for me. 🤦‍♂️
  13. Looks like we have the same expandable (and heavy) table. 😉 Have a free bump on me.
  14. It is the first 6 strings bass that I see having 7 strings. People can't even count right. Pfffffffffffff. Come on Russ, 7 strings ... it's definitely for you.
  15. It's a Schaller 460.
  16. And engrave upside down "Applause" at the back of the body or "Scream" alongside the back of the neck, or the opposite, or both, to show to the audience when needed, à la Paul Gilbert. 🤣
  17. I'm giving up. Your comments are a nightmare to read and a total mess. Can't you write simple sentences with a subject, a verb and a complement alongside the correct punctuation ? If you have a message to pass, you have to learn the communication skills needed to do so, otherwise you'll loose all credibility. Synthesise your thoughts, read and understand other users comments, ... and think before writing : everyone will thank you.
  18. And another follower. 😊
  19. One slap a video @SpondonBassed !
  20. Time to take your pills @Bean9seventy ! Mick Jagger can slap with his lips, for sure.
  21. Time to read this topic @Bean9seventy : Alzheimer dyslexia maybe ? You know that you can also use your fingers to get into your nose and play slap just after to "stick" to the beat ?
  22. "quote" "quote" "quote" "¡KODAK!"
  23. Mine (soon for sale) meets the two worlds as it's a 1997 Fodera NYC Empire 5 with a same period Sadowsky preamp. And a fantastic cocobolo fretboard.
  24. Same for me @three , I've been listening back massively to Sly since yesterday and I love it just like the first time. It's so inventive and fun. That said, I'm not a huge slap fan, but when it serves the song, it's fantastic. Too bad, it's so rare. I had the chance to see Larry Graham with Prince and it was always musical.
