Must be done by bankers... 🤣

I do still have some sets. But it's better to PM me to respect BC rules.

I have a few sets of P2 shape pickups that I tried in one of my basses : Aguilar Super Singles 5, Delano SBC 5 HE/S Driver, Nordstrand Big Split 5, Nordstrand Jazz Bar 5. All are meant to be used with a 19mm strings spacing at the bridge. My favourites are the pure single coils Aguilar Super Singles 5 or Nordstrand Jazz Bar 5. But it's quite partial as I'm a single coil aficionado for their clarity and perfect articulation. The Nordstrand Big Split 5 are too P-Bass sounding for me and the Delano SBC 5 HE/S Driver are too polite even if you can use them the way you want (single coil, parallel, series with lots of possibilities). In other shapes, I never liked the Nordstrand Big Singles (too fatty) or the Fat Stacks (too low level in stacked mode with a shy sound, even if they are better sounding in single coil mode), but enjoyed the DC in parallel or series, really beefy pickups with balls. The original Bartolini Quad Coils in whatever shape are awful to my ears : muddy, unclear, ugly low mids and no top end at all.

There was no zero star possibilities, sorry. 🤣 Done too right now.

Check Aliexpress to find the faker. 😉

According to your photo, it's a Fodera Victor Wooten Signature 10 strings, so a very expensive bass ... or a Chinese fake.

Has Brian May only ever used one guitar?

Yep, Steve Harris has been playing and owning a few Lado basses, not only this one... People seem to have forgotten that. 😉 -
Status Graphite the only remaining option for graphite bass necks?
Hellzero replied to HazBeen's topic in Bass Guitars
I knew there was something I read a while ago about making a carbon/graphite instrument yourself. I found it back, it's in French, but quite clear and easy to understand : https://lutheriecarbone.monsite-orange.fr/index.html -

Collier in Belgium has been making graphite necks for years. http://www.collier.be/ -

James Jamerson and the Funk Machine. Wes Montgomery and his Gibson L5. Mick Karn and his fretless Travis Bean and his fretless Wal(s). Toots Thielemans and his Gibson ES 175 even if he introduced the Rickenbacker's to the Beatles and in the U.K. He told me the story himself when I lent him my ES 175 for a concert because his own "Bobonne" arrived with a broken head at the show... Jaco has used lots of basses including the Guild Pilot, an acoustic bass, another Jazz Bass, a fretted Jazz Bass with a P-Bass maple neck, and so on... -
I met Christoph at noon for a lunch together with @Lololita in a pizzeria halfway and he brought the fantastic bass I bought from him : a rare JP Basses Lucii 6 Fretless. The bass was exactly as described and we had a great lunch by this sunny day, talking basses and many other things. Christoph is also a top bloke, but I already knew him as we made some deals in the past. 👍

I've been able to listen to it till the end. To me way better than the original, nothing fake here. What about a Vulfpeck cover ?
-
I'm still laughing as it's exactly this ! Thanks @BreadBin. Even @Lololita who is an absolute fan of Iron Maiden has been laughing to this. C'mon guys (and girl), laugh a bit and recognise that @BreadBin is right. 😉

Is it what's left of my former Status Electro Fretless, Harry ? The neck... 😬

"That" is what the couriers always do our parcels.😉 They absolutely don't care ! Reminds me of a combo I ordered years ago. The driver even tried to hide the forklift impact when presenting me the parcel on the side where there was no traces. In fact, the forklift went through the combo from side to side of the parcel. Nice job. As I noticed it, I refused the parcel of course, telling the driver that he shouldn't even have tried to deliver it.

I stopped when I heard the first words of the "singing". I hate autotuned voices. Too bad as it could have been something else with some soul and without all the disco clichés, like @Dad3353 already noticed.

I've bought items in the past through TalkBass and there was no problem at all from TalkBass itself and their member as long as you pay through PayPal. Don't ask an American his bank data with IBAN and BIC/SWIFT codes. 😱 The problem was simply importing from the USA. Living in Belgium, I've always had to add 50% to the total amount including the shipping fee and insurance, because over here in Belgium, customs and couriers like to add loads of taxes... These days, even if CITES has been "abandoned" for musical instruments, the Brazilian rosewood is still forbidden and the customs have a tendency to see Brazilian rosewood everywhere... That said, as we still are in the Trump days, I don't buy anything from the USA anymore. Even CD's bought in the land of "freedom" are taxed by the customs...

Having sold a lot on eBay and having to fully refund a scammer once, I started another process for everything I sell wherever it is. It's a simple one : tons of photos in huge resolution of the item proving its real condition and photos of the packing. I then upload everything to Google Drive (or whatever you want) and send the link to these photos to the buyer just after having sent the parcel with insurance and tracking number. I sometimes even add and invoice stating that the condition is known by the buyer. Problem solved for years now. And if a video is needed before concluding the sale to prove the real condition, I'll make one. Call me paranoid : no simply knowing the human deep nature and protecting myself. Scammed once, not twice.

Carol Kaye, Steve Bailey & Victor Wooten
Hellzero replied to EssentialTension's topic in General Discussion
It's a 20 years old video at the Namm show. The are all playing the Steve Bailey Aria Signature basses in their different iterations. These were derivatives of the Avante series. Very good basses in the hands of people who, for once, are not showing off, especially two of them ... as Carol Kaye never shows off, but plays. Thanks for this @EssentialTension. -
So, that's you. Congratulations !

This one is not badly placed at all : https://www.fodera.com/anthony-jackson-presentation-ii-2/ And I'm a huge fan of the guy himself. -
Nail varnish remover is acetone, so will damage cellulosic finishes and plastics very badly.
