    Lighter fluid is what I'm using since my studies in scientific photography in the mid 80's... It's the best traces or sticker glue remover as it doesn't harm the support. We used it to remove traces on high gloss photographic paper... and sticker glue.

    A butchered one. I got the inside cavity photo and it's just awful. The tuners have been changed for incorrect ones and the pickups are now AXY, with the dummy coil still under the badly glued and matched top. Everything that makes a Series One has gone...     Indeed @ped there's no truss rod and the relief is like the one on your Vigier, so almost dead straight. My 450B fretless has 30~90 strings gauge for the moment (I can't remember why I put these), but 45~105 almost doesn't change the relief. Really great basses, totally underrated.

    Another Kramer (and Travis Bean) fan here. I also still have my 1979 Kramer 450B Fretless (which after looking closely seems to be an original fretless and not a defretted one) with the same colour hard case, but with the serigraphic logo. I also still own an original Stagemaster Imperial Bass, but do prefer the sound of the 450B... It's quite well balanced when strapped and mine weights 4.5 kilos (next week I'm going to put a new set of Schaller lightweight tuners on it). If I may post a picture here it is and no it's not for sale... GLWYS !

    I see that you're attracted by the myth saying you can get a (quite decent) double bass sound out of a fretless... To do so, you'll have to buy a fretless bass fitted with piezos and tweak the EQ a lot as no cheap bass will do the job with just a P-Bass pickup close to the neck. That said, as a fretless player myself, I can only encourage you to do the jump and buy one. The ones mentioned before are excellent basses for the money, but there are many others. Also check the ads here.

    Yep, both ways. Costs a fortune. You'll have to pay for the VAT, customs duties out of Switzerland, customs duties in the incoming country and extra fee for the courier : that makes a lot of money. Better asking if the seller can send from Germany, France, or Italy. Don't worry, they are used to this (if they really want to sell abroad).

    That's it, I remember, the packaging was the same as the two sets of Fame strings I bought many many many many many many many many moons ago. The 4 strings set was quite decent (I mean dead after a few hours, just like the Rotosound's RS66), the fiver was awful. Go figure why... Maybe 2hd stands for second hand ? 😁
