  1. I have some fretless basses you don't need, if that can help. That said, go fretless only, you won't regret it. There's so much more of everything !
  2. Thought he was under arrest as he's a real crook. But that's eBay : crooks paradise !
  3. Big fan here. I own everything they've done. That said, just like with any genius, there is a before and an after Esbjörn Svensson. He marked the history of piano playing. Stupidest death ever, hélas. Check also Lars Danielsson's Libretto trilogy with Magnus Öström on drums. We've seen them last year and it was just amazing.
  4. It's simply a "flat" bridge, exactly like a sitar bridge, hence this fretless sound. Nothing magical in this. 😉 The Mike Sabre Dominique Di Piazza, the Eyb DDP and the Neuser NFS are very close in their conception. The Neuser Fretless System can be disengaged for a fretted sound too. Have a free bump on me, Victor.

I've also considerably lowered the price for a quick sale. Check the last photo attesting the serial number and the fact that the hardware has been changed. Don't hesitate to ask for more.
  6. Due to severe back problems (66% officially disabled because of it) and right shoulder injury (non-operable capsulitis from which ,after more than 3 years, I will never fully recover), I'm selling all my basses over 4.5 kilos. I've also considerably lowered the price for a quick sale. NOGUERA Trinity 8 Custom Bruno Ramos ! The most ergonomic bass I've owned to date, except maybe my IBANEZ AFR. As it's an unique instrument, I'm opened (past participle) to (partial) trades, but please keep in mind that I'm fretless player and that the weight is an important factor to me, so must be less than 4.5 kilos ! Asking price including shipping fully insured with tracking number to your place in these European countries (ask for other countries) : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (excluding French overseas departments and territories), Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom : £2222 GBP !!! Non-smoking environment as usual. I'm only selling this wonderful Jazz Bass like ERB 8 strings bass because of my health issues. Trinity (as it was named by Christian NOGUERA) deserves to be played, and even if each time I play it, it sounds terrific even dead flat and passive, I always get back to my very very lightweight IBANEZ AFR A104F fretless as it's my sound. This extended range bass is unique and has been totally hand crafted with the best woods Christian had in stock at the time (as you certainly noticed it ). All these woods were in his stock for more than 20 years explaining the even sound and the fact that this instrument seems to be insensible to the changes in weather. It stays in tune for months. This bass was designed for Bruno Ramos who is professional player, a teacher and a journalist for the Bassiste Magazine (THE French magazine). This Noguera is perfectly balanced and really easy to play as every detail has been perfectly thought. Don't be afraid by the number of strings, it's so easy to play that you won't notice that you are playing such an ergonomic and balanced ERB. You'll be amazed, guaranteed ! The bass has been fully set up professionally by Christophe LEDUC. It has a new battery and has been fitted with a brand-new set of Kalium BH-190-8BS hybrid nickel round wound strings, except for the F that is plain (19P - 31 - 43 - 59 - 79 -106 -142 - 192). This marvellous Noguera will also come with a brand new spare Kalium BH-174-8BL set (18P - 28 - 39 - 55 - 73 -98 -130 - 174), a used Kalium BH-174-8BL set, a brand new Newtone Diamond taper type round core nickel plated steel all round wound set (20 - 28 - 44 - 64 - 84 -104 -128 - 174) and a mounted once for one hour exact same Newtone set. So you'll have 4 spare sets : 2 new, 1 hardly used and 1 used (that was fitted on Trinity before I put the new set on it). Link to the new Noguera website : https://www.noguera-basses.com/ A video with Bruno Ramos playing his bass : Another video were Bruno Ramos used it at the end of the tune : What you see is what you get ! Look at the pictures taken under different angles to see the real almost new condition : some hardly noticeable very few marks and very small knock over the neck pickup (at around 2 cm away). The bass is photographed with the special Loxx Strap Locks, but will be fitted back with the original black strap buttons (as on photos 12 to 15, which were made by Christian NOGUERA). Don't hesitate to ask for more.
  7. Without the tuners, it could become a totally ergonomic bass...
  8. And Yasmine is a great and nice person to deal with. Go on you can trust her, there won't be a single glitch. Do you still have the Nexus Gom Jabbar ? 😉
  9. There is this different fretless, a bit over your budget, but Victor is a very nice guy to deal with :
  10. Here's what Thomann can offer you under £500 : https://m.thomann.de/gb/fretless_basses.html?maxPrice=500&s=price Cort, ESP and Ibanez are in, just like their own brand Harley Benton.
  11. This is a niche market, for sure. Being myself a fretless player, I've always struggled to be able to try some in music shops as they sometimes have one, but it's always a deep sh*t... That said I had the opportunity to try a brand new Zon Hyperbass in a shop in the 90's, but they were selling high end basses. My advice would be to buy a second hand one, as for £400 to £500, you can get some really terrific basses. And there are some very fine ones here on BassChat... Just check the Marketplace. And I don't know if there are top 20 tunes with fretless bass nowadays as I really don't give a damn sh*t about these radio horrors pretending to be music.
  12. Don't use it in broad daylight shirtless... 🤣
  13. Ron Thal has been a step further with his Swiss Cheese official model...
  14. This one is a beauty, especially compared to Dominique Di Piazza (ugly, to me) personal model. Does this one also have the narrow 17mm strings spacing at the bridge ? Also another wonderful instrument, Victor, and the fretless sound you can get with this sitar-like bridge is amazing. GLWYS.
  15. And another wonderful bass, Victor ! Have a free bump on me. 🙂
  16. Still very synthetic sounding to my ears... And I guess it can't play fretless out of tune : useless !
  17. Sold a Glockenklang Bass Art first generation preamp to Ryan. A really smooth, fast and easy transaction. A true credit to BassChat. Highly recommended. Will deal again with him. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
  18. I have had lots of trade proposals (here and elsewhere), but would really prefer a straight sale. Anyway a part exchange with cash my way is something I could, maybe, accept. And thanks for all the comments. 👍
