  1. And now someone alive : Richard Bona is an extraordinary bass player and joke teller, but such a pain in the *ss as a lead singer. But he is alive and I saw him so many times. And each time he starts singing, I just want to smash his own bass on his own head...
  2. I see dead people... John Wetton, another great bass player and talented lead singer. Just remember King Crimson, Asia, Uriah Heep, U.K., ... He has played with so many people : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wetton
  3. For those speaking French, Nino Ferrer was an Italian songwriter, lead singer and bass player (among other instruments) always kidding and writing non sense lyrics, but also tragic ones, just like the way he decided to die... A fun video :
  4. One of my favourite fretless player and better lead singer than his partner in Cream (got it ?) : the amazing Jack Bruce. No, I never saw Cream live...
  5. Prince was a also an extraordinary bass player. You're going to be jealous @Ted Theodore Logan, III as I saw him live with the other great bass player and lead singer Larry Graham and they even made a bass duet or duel.
  6. The late Mark Sandman of Morphine who died as fast as he was living. A great singer and an astouding bass player. Saw them loooooong ago with Moondog Junior opening for them. Fantastic concert, still in my memory. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Sandman
  7. The almighty Lemmy, of course. No need for a picture. If you don't know him, you know nothing about bass. Period.
  8. Russ, to achieve a correct gluing, you need a two components glue. Your Gorilla Glue, which by the way is also a psychotic, will break at the first resistance ... as it's a contact glue.
  9. What kind of trades are you looking at ?
  10. I also had a series 1 and the two next generations. This series 1 are really astounding cabinet with loads of power capabilities and better sounding than the next generations, thanks to the B&C speakers. Was working wonderfully coupled to a Glockenklang class D head, and many others. And it's lighter than it looks. GLWYS.
  11. I think I'm going to stop putting text in my ads, and photos as well. No title either. Just : For sale.
  12. It's Music Store, the other internet giant in Germany. 😉
  13. Yes, I played this very one when Jean-Luc had it.
  14. Try to find a second hand Leduc MP428SF or MP431SF (or HMP428SF or HMP431SF if you like headless basses). These are the best Jazz Bass like fretless you'll find, and certainly the only one where you'll hear the fundamental of each and every note. Once you've played a Leduc in a band, you'll understand why. Especially when your drummer will tell you this : Wow, that's the first time I'm hearing you and very well ! Try to find one with the EL-5 preamp and dummy coil (like Alembic) if you want to have a 2 bands preamp and a mid switch acting very cleverly. Here is an MP428SF, passive :
  15. The Hiscox is certainly the best option, but the new price if this hard case is close to the resell value of his Traben bass... I've put my Langowski 36 inches scale and my Celinder 36 inches scale in one of these. Quite cheap, but worth every penny. If your friend is close to the store, it's worth going there and try one, or give them a call : https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/E-Bass-Softcases
  16. Had one back in the day when it went out. Very good small combo for fretless bass too. GLWYS.
