  1. Will trade it for a 7 strings bass with 16.5/9 mm strings spacing and 34" scale (this is the best match for me). Fretless unlined would be perfect, but lined or fretted could be ok. 😉 Don't hesitate to hit me with your proposals...
  2. I'm into 7 strings now, I should then have to watch these ugly Fender fivers too. 🤣 And why not dividing into fretted and fretless ? 😁
  3. Here is the official booklet clarifying the ownership of an instrument with Brazilian rosewood and travelling with it, in English, French and German : fim-cites-handbook-en.pdf fim-cites-handbook-print-fr.pdf fim-cites-handbook-print-de.pdf

  5. Here is my Warrior DM7 NT Signature Custom which was a revelation to me : 7 strings are just what I need !
  6. Please do click on the photos to see them in full size as it's a bit blurred here strangely... First click on any picture to get the slide show, then click on the image itself to see it in full size with all the details and sharpness.

Official price today is €5400 Euros (around £4600 GBP) and at least 2 to 3 years of waiting... It's a 6 strings fretless bass with 31 positions so you can even play some Michael Manring with it. The photos with and without flash to see the real condition, which shows only some little wear with the usual light marks of time : And here an album with some more old photos with the now replaced broken cover for the truss rods (there are two of them) : https://photos.app.goo.gl/M6SGZU1QnEymRKqU8 Yes, I bought it back, and now I'm selling it again as I need to raise funds for a 7 strings fretless bass. Will trade it for a 7 strings bass with 16.5/9 mm strings spacing and 34" scale (this is the best match for me). Fretless unlined would be perfect, but lined or fretted could be ok. 😉 Don't hesitate to hit me with your proposals...
  8. Another part of my youth has gone. Always loved the Gould brothers original line-up of Level 42. This was, to me their best years. And his guitar playing was just over the top. May he rest in peace.
  9. Yes, the Basic Performer is voiced for double bass and the one @Frank Blank mentioned (and owned) is a good deal indeed. 😉
  10. If you can find an AER BassCube for a decent price as they are close to £3500 GBP new, go on, this is simply the best combo ever and even for electric bass. I had some Phil Jones, they are not in the same league at all and when doing the AB test, they sound dull, poor and "overwatted". Don't buy an AER Amp series as they are meant for electric bass. The Acoustic Image are really good too, but not as good as the AER.
  11. I now own the Trickfish Amplification Trilobite twin preamp pedal, which is "basically" a twin Mike Pope Flexcore preamp and I must say that it's really amazing sounding and a real Swiss army knife : https://www.trickfishamps.com/pedals/trilobite/
  12. Bought an amp from Will. It arrived very quickly and was very well packed. The transaction was smooth and easy. And Will is a very sympathetic und understanding person. I will surely deal again with Will. A real credit to BassChat. 👍
  13. No, Russ, it's worse : it's sandals with socks, that's a bigger sin. So, he must give the bass to me, not to you. 😁
  14. Now, the next question will be : how tall are you ? 😉
  15. Nice and different bass for once. Classical guitars and folk guitars have fixed bridges and it's working very well for centuries for classical instruments... 😉 GLWYS.
  16. Regarde un manche de pioche, tu verras que le veinage est hyper droit et serré : c'est pour ça qu'on utilise le frêne, m'biau. 😉
  17. Another one bites the deal. Bought an old Hartke head from Russ and everything was as easy as usual. Guinness Book just contacted me to celebrate our endless sale/buy/trade deals. 🤣
  18. I've seen this pickup before and this kind of construction. I had an original Polish Rybski bass of the 80's that was as ugly.
  19. Very strange : Schaller hardware from the end of the 70's, handmade pickup à la Wal old school just like the early Overwater ones, precise pickup routing, precise strings alignment (except the B string not correctly positioned in its saddle), quality woods, same shape, ... Somebody might be buying a real piece of history.
