  1. Looks like my complaint about the silly price of the Gary Willis masterclass worked a little bit : And, because you’re a member of SBL, we’re giving you an extra $20 off when you use the coupon code GW20. That said I followed some face to face(s) masterclasses of 4 hours or more for 25 to 50 €. And this was intensive teaching without any bullsh*t talk. I even attended a masterclass with Alain Caron for free as I was invited : I've never learnt so much in 4 hours with plenty to study for the next year(s). The Steve Lawson course on fretless included in SBL is a 2 hours one and also very interesting. So please tell me why are Steve Lawson's courses, lessons and seminars (way over 10 hours) included and why should I have to pay for a masterclass ? That said, Scott is claiming to have over 25.000 subscribers which makes a minimum income of $2.500.000 USD for the subscriptions only... He has, for sure, totally understood the American evangelists system or how to make easy money very fast.
  2. He really is earning a fortune. Good for him, he found the trick, but the SBL is becoming less and less attractive with the same guys repeating the same things all the time and especially loosing a lot of useless talking and wowing. He knows Pareto so, he is applying it, the wrong for us, but not for him : 80% of useless information and 20 % of usable information. So sad as he can be really good, but is telling so much crap. The way to set the intonation correctly on a fretless bass is still making me laugh a lot. One thing is sure : he knows nothing about lutherie and the way to set up an instrument. His do's and don't's are also epic. Sorry, but this $147 USD to pay for a subscribing member is simply money extortion. Especially that there will be 1 hour of real course, maybe 2, no more !
  3. Vincent and I traded some basses. Everything was always fine and he is an expert in bomb proof parcels too. Go on guys, there won't be a single problem with Vincent, with top notch communication. A new credit to BassChat.
  4. That said, very nice job Andre. 👍
  5. I totally agree with the fact he's making a (more than) decent living with SBL and that's a good thing for him, but asking money again when you already are a subscriber is really just making money for making money. Add to that that all, without exception, courses or seminars or whatever are in fact 80% of useless talking, that becomes very very very expensive.
  6. Urm, try Spanish, French or Russian... No offence here at all.
  7. As a regular SBL paying member, I wanted to participate to the Gary Willis masterclass, because there is absolutely nothing on fretless bass on SBL, but the Steve Lawson course that I already followed. WTF, I have to pay $147 USD to attempt this masterclass. Scott, are you just kidding me or do I have to pay for your new stylist and your new cap ? SBL isn't that terrific and for once, there was something very interesting AND different, but I have to pay for it as an official member !?! Is it the Brexit effect or is Scott already an American citizen just talking too much and making easy money ? I'm simply shocked and gutted at the same time. I've lost money with this SBL thing, so Scott keep it, buy a new cap and goodbye.
  8. There is a great couple for sale here : Or you can use this GREAT lightweight combo (800 Watts RMS) :
  9. Traded a bass with Flavius. You can deal in total confidence. His parcels are also bomb proof. The bass was exactly as described. The communication was excellent too.
  10. ^^^ It's for guitars, not basses, sadly.
  11. It must sound terrific, the batteries are made in Belgium. 🤣
  12. And another superb bass. You can deal in total confidence with Flavius. 👍
  13. Very nice indeed. And Flavius is a very nice person to deal with. His parcels are as good as mine, which means bomb proof. 😉
  14. Marco, don't forget it's my request. Have a nice day around here. 😉
  15. @Linus27 : The colour is Graffiti Yellow, just like Jeff Beck's Stratocaster.
  16. Setting the intonation is MANDATORY when putting new strings. Since when exposed cores are messing with the intonation when the instrument is set-up for thee strings. It's about time to read what you write : truckloads of non sense. Did you ever build an instrument or even know what makes the difference between a crap one and a good one ?
  17. In fact, the problem is way more simple : the copies are way far better than the originals. 😁
  18. Urm, I'm Belgian, living in Belgium and it worked for me.
