1. If you have some wrist problems, in 99% of the cases, it's a bad playing position and has nothing to do with the scale... For your bad sound, in 99% of the issues, it's a bad setup. Before going any further, go see the two specialists who will really help you : a physiotherapist and a luthier. It's worth going this way than spending money in the wrong direction...
2. Don't think so as you'll see fingerprints everywhere afterwards...
3. I traded my Alpher Mako Elite Custom Fretless 5 for Pawel LeFay Herr Schwarz 5. Everything was perfect from the start to the end with lots of communications. The strangest thing is that we were in touch some 10 or 15 years ago and that he still remembered me as I sent him some cd's with fretless bass players and I remembered him as the Carles Benavent aficionado... Quite funny. So you can deal in total confidence with Pawel, he is a real great guy with a very good memory. ;-)
4. With original Seymour Duncan pickups from 1980-81, massive brass original Leduc bridge, Gotoh tuners, neckthrough, ebony fretboard and master grade woods (Canadian hard maple neck, Gabon ebony fretboard and French alder body wings). And love or hate look... https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1470083
5.
Haha...i couldn't tell the difference in tone between his jazz & his ric tbh.
And try to hear any difference when he was playing a Wal. :-P
6. ThePolytune is already made for bass as there is the function for it. One of the rare tuner able to catch my EUB 6 strings low B... Got 2 of them.
7. Careful, Fodera will surely make a signature model with this type of string mounting in the next days ! Yek, yek, yek. :-P
8. Simply check your spam folder regularly...
9.
I just leave the amp's EQ flat, and erm.......the bass's EQ flat . I just play differently if I want the sound different, nearer the bridge or the neck etc. Anthony Jackson doesn't even have a volume control on his bass.

That's broadly my approach...
Mine too, on my main bass the only pickup is wired directly to the output à la Anthony Jackson.
10.
Sitting at home with no gigs making no money at all. Blue
Better this way.
11. In fact, like most of the people I know, I think you are looking for compression, am I wrong ?
12. Try the Glockenklang preamp : http://www.dv247.com/guitars/glockenklang-3-volume-electronics--227688
13. Getting bored and playing every weekend for peanuts were always the main reasons.
14. Here two fully working at the correct price : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/search/?q=olp&rub=7
15. Very nice bass with 24 frets, but some more pictures from Finland would be great. Are the pickups from Christoph Dolf of Bassculture ?
16. In this case, I'm in ... as one of the orange coloured. ;-) https://youtu.be/bAdqazixuRY
17.
My wife says WHAT DID HE SAY! YOU SHOULD STOP VISITING THAT BLOODY FORUM. IF YOU BUY ONE I'M LEAVING. Gak.co.uk you say..
Heard it before. B-)
18.
Or get all creative with Nikolai Tesla's wireless technology and have a wireless connection to the power and to your cab
Great idea !
19. That's the way an all maple neck bass should always look, simply stunning !!! Bonne vente à toi !
20.
Agreed. I never understood why East pres don't have a centre detent on the EQ knobs. So annoying
Maybe just because, the older ones were boost only, so center was simply zero... That said I really like the new SPM-02 3 bands preamp, to me the best he has ever made, but my ears are not yours. I found that the Aguilar OBP-3 was also a very good preamp, colouring the sound of course, but in a good manner, I mean to bass players taste. But don't go too far as it will sound too much compressed.
