Too bad, but where do these people find such stupid ideas that they can't even make right ? Where ? Tell me where ?

"Dad, I want to play bass, who should I listen to?"
Hellzero replied to interpol52's topic in General Discussion
And what about asking your child what he wants to play ? That would be easier, no ? Read what Happy Jack wrote ! -
intonationally challenging?.......

Worst work I've ever seen, everything on this bass is approximative... Dingwall doesn't do, but a French maker (Mermet) did one for a BCer (Naga) : https://onlybass.com/topic/89420-mermet-6-fretless-et-affinités/ -

Bought Duncan's SWR Blue Head : everything was perfect from the first message to the delivery including the very well done secured packing. Great communication too. The amp was as described. You can deal with him in total confidence. A highly recommended BCer.

It's been defretted, there are markings in the wood when the fret foot was pulled. It's quite obvious everywhere, and especially around the 21th fret place. The side dots not aligned with the lines is found on quite a lot of factory fretless basses, my Alpher is made this way and I had a lot like this.

Very honest review, Mick. After your first gig, studio or rehearsal, you won't look at your TE gear the same way. ;-)

Leduc U-Bass fretless 4 strings brand new, now sold !
Hellzero replied to Hellzero's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I know the place as my uncle used to own the Peugeot garage by the bridge (but maybe it had already moved to Latour in 2001), very calm place there where you lived. Funny, we are now back in Etalle for 3 years (after 10 years in Ethe) and I was making the repairs for the shop you mention (Pierson Musique), so maybe we've met. TV Lux even made a report on me as I was the only local luthier. I was playing in a band called Cirrus at the time. Do you miss the "pâté gaumais" and the Orval ? ;-) -

So maybe we know each other, as I'm 15 kilometers away from there and lived for 10 years in one of the the village just next to the city of Virton. And some 15 to 20 years ago I used to have my own repair shop... -
Incredibly beautiful Jaydee GA24 - Mark King connection
Hellzero replied to TheGreek's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Here is the answer Andrew gave me to that "strange" bass : "Hi Tony This bass was custom built to the original customers own specifications. It is essentially a GA24 but with Calibas electronics and a Pangborn style headstock. Best Regards Andrew" There is no mention of personal relationship with Mark King or John Diggins... You can still order the exact same one for less than the price asked and it will be brand new !?! Look at this one, with a correct price tag and ... 6 strings : https://www.kitarapaja.com/jaydee-supernatural-calibas-6-string_1 -

Leduc U-Bass fretless 4 strings brand new, now sold !
Hellzero replied to Hellzero's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
That's it, you read it right. The other part says that in the meantime he went to 6 strings basses (a second hand Leduc MP631 SF fretless, a second hand Aries Senes VS 6 Signature and a second hand F-Bass AC6 fretless). It takes up to 2 years to get an instrument finished by Leduc (Fleta has a 20 years waiting period, just for the fun). Christophe is working alone and he is also making repairs. On the 1st of April of 2016 he decided to refuse to take orders for a complete year as it would have had a negative impact on his "production"... -

Christophe LEDUC has a lot of patents for this instrument that were registered way back in 1992 for France and 1994 for the world... Alain Caron is still owning and playing one 6 strings fretless of the first model and Abraham Laboriel is still owning and playing a 6 strings fretted one. He is THE French master luthier, highly respected by his other fellow makers for his knowledge and quite strangely is originally an architect because he needed to understand the laws of physics before making instruments. He was also the only one able to repair a sitar way back in the 70's as he went to India to learn the making of it. He made this special 6 strings electric upright bass for me (it took 7 years to finish the project as it was a two brains job going in the same direction but not always using the same path...) : http://leduc.fr/index.php/series-l/contrebasse-de-la-serie-l We also became friends over the time (we know each other for 30 years). -

These amps are terrific and indeed the EQ is something you won't use quite often. ;-) I'm playing a Soul Combo, just fantastic. The difference between the Blue series and the other series is mainly the power amp section being class D for the Blue (and Steamhammer) and mosfet (or real transistor technology) for the others. They all use the "same" class A preamp. The difference between the Sky and the Rock is the power and the EQ section, powerfuller and more complete EQ for the Rock. They pretend that they use their own class D power amp which is of course a bit false as it's the Bang & Olufsen Ice Power module like in all class D amplifier being intended for instruments or hi-fi. That's why all these class D amps do have a tendency to all have the same sound, after all. What makes the difference is the class A preamp, the power section and the making itself here for Glockenklang. Hope this helps.

Really not sure what to make of this
Hellzero replied to Happy Jack's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
It does, but are Musikraft licensed by Fender to put a Fender decal on the headstock, I wonder?
Absolutely not, so it's a real fake in law terms. -

It's a Musikraft copy of a Fender V : it's written in the description. Here is the link to Musikraft who is making necks and bodies for quite a long time now : https://www.musikraft.com Hope this helps.
