  1. Ok, you gave the answer: DHL! When it comes to "exporting" parcels DHL is a real pain in the derrière as they seem to have no real service for that. I've had parcels stuck at their "customs" service for a week or two before they are cleared and I live in Belgium, the country just nearby, so imagine a real customs clearance... You'll have to wait at least another week.
  2. Paying by card or bank transfer or PayPal gives you the same protection... Which courier did Thomann use? I found this website and/or App more accurate for checking in real time where is a parcel: https://parcelsapp.com/
  3. Nice Le Fay on the right. 😉
  4. Almost 3 years later, I sold my JP Basses Zia Hollowbody Piezo 5 fretless to Bernt and this time it arrived the day he started his holidays. Be careful and don't throw it in the water, Bernt. 😉 Cheers! 🥂
  5. Again, the best answer, this is the only reason I use powerful amps, my favourite right now being the brand new GR Bass AeroTech Full Carbon Combo 800 Watts coupled to the GR Bass AeroTech Full Carbon 112+ cabinet. Lightweight, powerful and clean.
  6. No hesitation, especially for the price: Tonerider, as good as any boutique pickup! https://tonerider.com/product/jazz-plus/
  7. Go to any luthier, it's a 2 minutes job to change the nut and put some graphite grease on the thread. Reliable, fast and easy.
  8. Now there is some sound with two videos of the bass played unplugged and plugged. Check the Google Drive link in the ad. Thanks @Rollo !
  9. Back home for good this time, thanks Vincent aka @Rollo for letting me buy it back!
  10. Where are you in Spain @Rayman ?
  11. It's a chambered body and the whole bass only weights 3.340 kilos... Urm, urm, it's just the opposite Mick. 😉
  12. Is this guy a relative of the other lunatic... https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/325698689437 https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/325698689458 https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/325698689468 Amazing!
  13. You are lucky, it's was raining cats and dogs from the kennels a few weeks ago in Spain.
  14. So a new concept a headed headless with the head on the body. Wait a minute, it's not new: https://reverb.com/item/660208
  15. Excellent combo that you can buy in total confidence! GLWYS.
  16. This has been discussed in at least 3 thread that are all 3 here:
  17. Try the brand new GR Bass AeroTech Full Carbon dedicated Combo, not cheap for sure, but lightweight at 8.8 kilos (hard to find lighter and so powerful). https://www.thomann.de/gb/gr_bass_at_cube_acoustic.htm There's also the Acus For Bass model, but it will be heavier at 13 kilos and a little cheaper. https://www.thomann.de/gb/acus_one_for_bass_wood.htm And there's the Schertler Unico X at 16.8 kilos, but you'll have to rob the bank. https://www.thomann.de/gb/schertler_unico_x.htm The AER BassCube will be allmost twice this weight, at close to 30 kilos. The good old Gallien Krueger is a bit out of date even if it sounds good and the old ones are not that reliable.
  18. Nope, you can still cut cows horns with them... But when they are broken in, they won't cut your fingers anymore and sound lovely.
  19. I'm not in a hurry at all, as in fact, I'm torn between my Leduc U-Basse 4 fretless and this JP Basses Zia Hollowbody Piezo 5 fretless. I prefer the overall tone of the Zia, but I have this cramp problem in the left thumb after playing over a not that long period, say one to one and a half hour...
  20. I love them, when broken in, on fretless Jazz Basses.
