Calling @flaviusm as he plays in several doom bands. He will be playing this Saturday in Belgium at the Haunting the Castle Doom Festival with his band called Mirthless. https://www.eventbrite.fr/e/haunting-the-castle-iv-tickets-479922971527

A totally schizophrenic guy, hoping his parents will react really fast as it can end up very badly. I also hope the police stated his schizophrenia in their report as they've seen the footage (and I again hope they took a copy of it)...

As usual the OP has vanished, certainly a too powerful fan...

Shipping to United Kingdom is, of course, possible, but with an extra customs fee (VAT + other taxes + courier fee), because U.K. is now outside EEC. In perfect working condition and, except for a few marks, in very good condition. Here are the specifications : Body: partially hollow on the bass side (the round holes in the superb top) 2 pieces selected seasoned mahogany Top: 2 pieces very rare highly flamed and superbly figured seasoned ash (the luthier simply bought the whole tree) Neck: bolt-on in 1 piece superbly flamed hard rock seasoned maple Fingerboard: seasoned rosewood Frets: 20 positions with absolutely no marks Headstock: 4 in line Pickups: 2 x 4Seasons (Dutch maker) Jazz Bass type in 60's position Controls: neck pickup volume (push-pull for parallel and series mode based on the Cadfael diagram found below with both volumes still working on both positions, which is really great), bridge pickup volume, 12 positions tone control with endless rotator from BQ Music (Dutch maker) called V12B Tuners: Fender type non branded Bridge: brand new ultralight AL Bridge M20 Music Man style (imported from the USA as it's not sold over here) Strings spacing at bridge: 20mm Nut: bone Strings spacing at nut: 9.5mm (nut width is an A type, so 38.1mm) Knobs: Fender Jazz Bass Scale: 34 inches Hardware colour: chrome Truss rod: one, single action, 100% functional Finish: natural Country of origin: The Netherlands Serial number: N.A. Year: N.A. Non-smoking environment as usual. The bass has been fully shielded with copper and set up professionally, which means it's super easy to play and dead silent. It is fitted with a brand new set of Dunlop Super Bright DBSBN45105 nickel wound strings (45 - 65 - 85 - 105), which really serve this bass. Here is a link to this excellent sounding 12 positions BQ Music V12B tone control : What you see is what you get ! Look carefully at the photos taken from different angles and lights to see the real condition, which is very good except for the marks photographed. Due to severe back problems (67% officially disabled because of it) plus right shoulder injury (non-operable capsulitis from which, after more than 4 years, I will never fully recover), I'm selling all my basses over 4 kilos and also the ones I'm not really using as well as some stuff I don't use. I've also considerably lowered the price for a quick sale. Don't hesitate to ask for more.

@Rollo, I'll let you try it Saturday, ... maybe.

The new Boss Katana Bass combos don't have fans and are amazing (I bought the 110 ... and the 210). The GR Bass amps have the studio option which switches the fan off. As mentioned, the original TrickfFish amps, the Bullhead 1K and .5K, don't have a fan, and honestly I don't know why they put a fan in the new Mini 500 !?! Some Acoustic Image and as mentioned some Phil Jones Bass or Demeter models don't have fan. The Ampeg PF-20T and PF-50T are full tubes/valves head without fan. I think this list is almost all and everything available new... It seems that nowadays a fan is "mandatory", otherwise there's a lot of older amps, including valves/tubes amps that are fanless.

Photos now post treated...

And here come the fresh photos taken today on the mandatory 400 years old oak floor.

It won't hurt at all. 😉

You have something with a digital power supply close to your Celinder @ped, or even a watch can do that ticking noise too. There are two ways to suppress this : find the "faulty" device and discard it or make a real full shielding of the Celinder (which is not the best part of Celinder basses, that said).
-
There you go @hooky_lowdown. This schematic from Cadfael works for 2 Jazz Bass pickups too or whatever type you want.
-
I've done this mod on my Rebellion Jazz Bass : It's the top of versatility as you get that classic tone with both pickups working in parallel (standard wiring), but also the same in series, meaning you can use each volume independently on both positions, and that's really useful. A very clever design. That said put a push-push instead of a push-pull, it's a real game changer.

I play whatever fretless, lined or unlined, and dots at the fretted position on fretless don't bother me. There is no true fretless, there is fretless. The only "issue" with lined fretless is that you're always tempted to look at your fingers and don't play with your ears, but your eyes, which won't help improve your intonation, especially in low light situation...

Utterly insanely overpriced as I said, Mick. But it's what people are prepared to pay for a Wal nowadays. I hope they won't cry blood tears when the market gets back to normality...

If you plan to sell the bass, which is something will all end up doing, don't do anything to this Zon that will turn it into an obviously diy modified bass (and all your layouts are just suggesting this). And as @Doctor J said, you didn't miss the mid control before, so...

It's not cheap but it sure is nice....
Hellzero replied to vinorange's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Because this bridge works great with these Fender basses and many others. Each time I've put another bridge, I simply noticed that it adds strictly nothing sound wise to that BBOT bridge. Simplicity is often the best way to achieve a goal.
