Of course, you imagine quite well, I've watched or heard almost everything he's made and can also recommend his album with Michael Manring and Dominique Di Piazza, which is not permanent show off, but virtuosity. I also owned a Noguera YC 8 fretless, what an excellent bass, but sometimes friends can push you to a sale... Yves even sold me some sets of strings for the bass and gave me a few advices on how to use the bass and why is tuning it lower.

Just in case I'm selling the bass for this event, but I think it's missing a lot of stickers and the holes should be going through the body, but that can be fixed very quickly... 🤪

Never been to a show or a store, Chris? It's slappity slap everywhere. Try Dean Peer, as he is a different fretless player, a harmonic master user: But that mwah nasal tone is also the signature of fretless bass and what 99% of the players/listeners are waiting for. That said, I recorded an album with my now definitely over duet (as the guitarist with whom I played during 10 years sadly died last year) with both fretted and fretless basses (Leduc U-Basse fretted 6 and Leduc Masterpiece fretless 6), and afterwards people were telling me that I had a superb fretless tone on some tunes that were played with the fretted U-Basse, but it was also the idea... So reversed engineering here. 😉

So the guy never played a fretless, decided to have one built by the deliriously expensive Warwick Custom Shop AND, that's where it's totally weird, without anything (dots, lines, ...) to help him being accurate, because he also decided to trust his ears, which aren't the best ones, that said. But, he's honest (and quite sympathetic too) and says he can be out of tune sometimes ... well most of the time. And the interviewer is asking such stupid questions about the way to play fretless to a guy who obviously can't play fretless!?! Amazing!

Sod’s Law… Dream bass is never going to appear!

This why we have dreams, some unaccomplished thoughts, otherwise life would be so boring. -
Funny, as when I wrote it, there's was Rickenbacker turning in my head...

€1100 EUR: Fender Precision Bass PB70-85, 1993, Japan, type B neck. NO TRADES! NON NEGOTIABLE PRICE ! Asking price including shipping fully insured with tracking number to your place in these European countries (ask for other countries) : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (excluding French overseas departments and territories), Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden : €1100 Euros (£975 GBP is an approximation and I will only accept payment in Euros) !!! Shipping to United Kingdom is, of course, possible, but with an extra customs fee (VAT + other taxes + courier fee), because U.K. is now outside EEC. In perfect working condition and in good condition with all the nicks of 30 years old bass (see photos for real condition). This is the best P-Bass I've ever owned in 40 years, but, hélas, I'm not a P-Bass guy... Here are the specifications : Body: light ash (probably swamp) Neck: bolt-on in 1 piece of very lightly flamed maple Fingerboard: beautiful rosewood Frets: 20 positions with absolutely no marks Headstock: 4 in line Pickups: 1 brand new Hepcat (best French vintage pickups maker) Precision Bass '62 (see invoice) Controls: volume (selected CTS), tone (selected CTS) with a Russian PIO capacitor and a PureTone output jack (see invoice) Tuners: original Fender Japan Bridge: original Fender Japan (70's) Strings spacing at bridge: 19 mm Nut: bone Strings spacing at nut: 11 mm (nut width is a B type, so 41.275 mm) Knobs: Fender flat dome (brand new) Scale: 34 inches Hardware colour: chrome Truss rod: one, single action, 100% functional Finish: Dark British Green over Vintage White Country of origin: Japan Serial number: N079873 Year: 1993 Weight: 4.120 kg (naked) Action : from 1.5 mm under the G string to 2 mm under the E string at 12th position (can even go lower, but was perfect for me) Will be delivered in a Fender shotgun type (see photos). Non-smoking environment as usual. The cavities have been fully shielded with conductive paint (and some copper too), the scratchplate (or pickguard for some) has been fully shielded with aluminium and the bass has been set up professionally, which means it's super easy to play and dead silent. It is fitted with a set of broken in La Bella 760FS Deep Talking Stainless Steel Flat Wound (45 - 65 - 85 - 105), which really serve this bass. It comes with the thumb rest and the two ashtrays. The bridge cover has the foam inside cut to fit à la Nordymute, so not pushing on the strings, but going "around" them: true Motown sound guaranteed. What you see is what you get ! Look carefully at the photos taken from different angles and lights to see the real condition, which is good with all the nicks of 30 years old bass. Due to severe back problems (67% officially disabled because of it) plus right shoulder injury (non-operable capsulitis from which, after more than 4 years, I will never fully recover), I'm selling all my basses over 4 kilos and also the ones I'm not really using as well as some stuff I don't use. I've also considerably lowered the price for a quick sale. Don't hesitate to ask for more.
