  1. Any well known or respected pro players out there regularly using a P34/35 as their main instrument? I can only think of the Stereophonics bass player off the top of my head.
  2. I'm seriously considering seeing Martin when he plays in lichfield in September but I'm just wondering what the band format will be because if it's just him on an acoustic guitar I'm not interested. I want to see and hear him on electric bass.
  3. Beautiful 😍.... and just down the road as well 🥴
  4. Serbia or Oz get my vote
  5. Nice review as always, thanks. I've one of these CV P basses in vintage white, bought from a fellow basschatter a couple of years ago. It's a really great bass which looks, sounds and feels good. At these prices no upset if you drop it and cause damage. I think the bridge is fine and does the job, as does the pickup.
  6. Slap bass-ist... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-65558954.amp
  7. Eliminate both guitarists and replace with a single committed individual with adecent amount of emotional intelligence. Might mean taking longer to get out there gigging but worth it IMO.
  8. That is an absolutely beautiful instrument.

I can't say I remember any neck dive at all
  10. This really is the best colour/ neck combo of any P bass on the market at the moment. Lovely 😍
  11. That looks SO COOL 😎
  12. I've been surprised at how realistic some programmed bass guitar lines have sounded recently.
  13. Heard this on radio 2 this morning, new single from Jason Mraz. Nothing revolutionary just a nice bit of funky bass guitar which is very prominent in the mix. I'm guessing a 5 string Jazz type instrument... Please don't tell me it's programmed 🥺
  14. What a chart, Wow!
  15. This is exactly the sort of post which convinces me why I just can't stay off Basschat 🙂
  16. The Tributes have US pickups don't they?
  17. I second this. Great playing, very tasty bass as well 😋
  18. That is one of the tastiest looking P basses I've seen in a long time 😍
  19. Warning: Boring comment alert....🤓 I found myself in central London today so I decided to have a look around the music shops. Found the Yamaha shop and left wondering if they actually want to sell anything to the general public. Beautifully presented shop but those prices....whoa! I wanted another go on a BB P34 as i think they're tasty. They were marked up as around £1.5k - WHAT?! As soon as you walk out of the shop with that you've lost £600 as they fetch £850-950 second hand. Also, the one I played had some serious hum. The other places down the road on Denmark St were nice though. I still like the P34 though and if I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket I'd be vulnerable....
  20. Had anyone mentioned Norman Watt Roy yet?
