  1. Well yes it would be, but you'd have to have a new nut and bridge made to go back to that set-up. I really don't know why anyone would want to though, as you don't notice the B-string is there until you come to use it. Peter did a really great job and got all the angles just right so there are no access issues, it's really easy to play.
  2. It was designed by Golia to play as either a 4 or a 5, with an interchangeable top nut and bridge. I had no interest in it as a 4 so it was set up as a 5 by Peter Barnaby as originally stated. It sounds great, projects well and is even across all registers.
  3. Hello all, Up for sale is my small 5-stringer made by Luciano Golia for the Croatian bass player Ivan Nestic in 2010. New adjustable bridge and set up by Peter Barnaby, it has a scale of 105cm and is easy to play, there's plenty of volume and it's a quality even sound in all registers. Comes with the original soft case but this isn't in great condition and will need replacing. Selling as it's so much smaller than my other instruments and is therefore sadly gathering dust in the corner!
  4. Exclusively classical, on 5-stringers. Krattenmacher and Neuner Hornsteiner. Actually I prefer Oliv G+D. Eudoxa B String is superb.
  5. I play on Eudoxa and when you first fit a new string the silk's about 3cm over the nut onto the fingerboard. They stretch and then eventually the silk will be in the peg box, 2-4 days in my experience. Normal.
