Yes, Roger, me old love, this LPS I'm selling is equipped with P90's to the original DC spec. Here's a picture of the neck pup after I extracted it tonight and removed the cover. As we can see,it is a P90 single coil rather than a P100 stacked coil. P100's get a bad rap but I've played a couple of guitars hung with them and they sounded quite nice. In the P90 ballpark but lacking a certain something. I wasn't aware that the faded DC LPS shipped with P100's - perhaps yours was a one-off

This is the slightly slimmer body version which adds a little more top-end. Thin-skin nitro-cellulose factory ‘aged’ finish – i.e. a couple of very lightly factory-applied areas of ‘wear’, see images. 2 x Soapbar P90 pick-ups - full, round tone from the neck, vicious snarl from the bridge when provoked. No breaks, low action, easy player. Bought from Peter Cook’s about ten years ago. As seen in the images there is a minor cosmetic blemish to the rear of the neck from stupidly leaving this thin-nitro finished guitar on a plastic stand. [b]1990’s solid state flip top combo[/b] Bit of a rarity here, which I bought new back in the 1990's. A 100w 15” Ampeg B15T solid state combo with the flip top and the tilt-back leg. Headphone out, line out, effects loop, speaker mute and XLR out. Fully functioning and in excellent cosmetic condition for its vintage. Ideal for recording, rehearsals and small gigs, the B15T is a surprisingly loud and tuneful little amp. Tonally the amp has a voice of its own with surprising versatility covering a wide range of sounds from earthy thud to modern zing. Each of the four EQ pots is pull-to-boost; the low-bass pull is quite the revelation, adding depth without mud. Though it's only 100w / 4ohm, I regularly gigged this amp in pubs between a Marshall Bluesbreaker and a loud drummer. I had no trouble being heard (or hearing myself) thanks to the tweakable EQ, the tilt-back and an efficient, loud 15” 4 ohm speaker. Flipped out and tipped back it looks quite sweet in a retro sort of way. It’s ultra-compact so your ‘significant other’ may not even notice when you shift it into the house. In almost unmarked condition and full working order, a classic rock amp from the golden year of Punk. Includes original soft cover. Four inputs, two speaker outputs, usual complement of tone controls and presence, old-style variable impedance and voltage adjusters (to modern electrical spec), etc. This was serviced at Bletchley about 20 years ago then put into long-term storage until I hauled it out recently and fired it up. Gorgeous classic mid-period non Master Volume Marshall roar. Nashville Feb 2006. Ungigged and from a smoke-free home, this is a nice little Junior with the classic spanky dog-ear P90 tone that goes from a snarl to a roar. This is the slightly shallower body version that adds a touch of brightness. Comes fitted with a Tone-Pros saddle which transmits a little more energy to the body and makes setting intonation easier. A minor rarity, this guitar was part of a special Gibson factory run for a Japanese retailer who went bust. The guitar was diverted to Guitar Village in Farnham where I bought it about seven years ago. I’ve not seen another one since. Original finish was already well dinged in places. I've looked after it with care since then. Dated 5th Jan 1971 on neck heel; the neckplate serial number supports this as does the 'Chambers' stamp in the neck pocket. It's a great player, easy action and a featherlight 8.1 lbs. Comfy B-width neck (narrower than a normal P but wider than a Jazz). Sporting its original finish, pick-ups and metal hardware this bass has a nice warm sound with lots of character. It has been subject to minor modifications over the years - a new pot, a brass nut and a new truss rod adjuster nut. The control cavity has been slightly enlarged at the vol pot end, presumably to accommodate a non-standard sized pot. The scratchplate is aftermarket via the BassDoc, the original BWB having been cut down then lost by the previous owner. I swapped the extended G string bridge screw over to the D string bridge but this is easily reversible. In terms of cosmetics, the body and neck are well dinged with some buckle rash on the rear. The fingerboard bears two small spots of dark brown filler, approx 5mm x 5mm. One of the pickup height adjuster screws has stripped. The output from the pick-ups is a little on the low side to my ear but entirely usable. The tone pot knob shaft rotates slightly off centre and there is a similar tiny offset in the angle of the D string tuner shaft. Currently strung with 40's and almost flat relief. Includes non-original generic hard-case. Please PM me if you have any questions.
