1.
Phew! That was strangely attractive!
And it sounded better with somebody more talented playing it
 2. Yes, Roger, me old love, this LPS I'm selling is equipped with P90's to the original DC spec. Here's a picture of the neck pup after I extracted it tonight and removed the cover. As we can see,it is a P90 single coil rather than a P100 stacked coil. P100's get a bad rap but I've played a couple of guitars hung with them and they sounded quite nice. In the P90 ballpark but lacking a certain something. I wasn't aware that the faded DC LPS shipped with P100's - perhaps yours was a one-off
 3. Note to self: replace fusebolts with fusenails.
 4. Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut - Faded TV Yellow (inc SKB case) £400 collected Nashville – Feb 2004 Ungigged and from a smoke free home – a light, versatile little guitar for that Townsend / Clash / Hard-Fi vibe. This is the slightly slimmer body version which adds a little more top-end. Thin-skin nitro-cellulose factory ‘aged’ finish – i.e. a couple of very lightly factory-applied areas of ‘wear’, see images. 2 x Soapbar P90 pick-ups - full, round tone from the neck, vicious snarl from the bridge when provoked. No breaks, low action, easy player. Bought from Peter Cook’s about ten years ago. As seen in the images there is a minor cosmetic blemish to the rear of the neck from stupidly leaving this thin-nitro finished guitar on a plastic stand. Does not impede playability Comes with an SKB locking hard case (inc keys) Please feel free to PM me with any questions Cash on collection from BA15 or (subject to agreement) will meet or will deliver within 100 miles of BA15 at 20p per mile
 5. It’s a power supply for 9v DC effects pedals – non-isolated so it’s actually a 5 output daisy chain but looks better. Avoid ‘wall-wart’ jibes at a crazy low price. Fully functional. Please feel free to PM any questions
 6. Aria ACH-1 Analogue Chorus (80’s analogue) £28 shipped Unsung analogue pedal from the 80’s. Goes from gentle ‘chime’ to full ‘sea-sickness’ mode with a finely gradated twist of its plastic knobs. Warm, defined tone. Fully functional. Runs off 9V battery or standard power lead Please feel free to PM me any questions
 7. DOD FX-66 Flashback fuzz pedal £25 posted Under-rated little 'vintage-style' fuzz pedal that can add a touch of hair or – if correctly adjusted – convince onlookers that you are shovelling a coven of witches into a lava-pond. Fully functional with excellent cosmetics (the greeny-brown 'stains' are factory-finish, presumably intended to convey the impression that the item has spent its life in close proximity to Jimi Hendrix's bong). Low cut knob for dialling bass in or out, useful in loops or just for cutting mush during wig-out solos. 9V DC Please feel free to PM me any questions
 8. Boss clone workhorse compressor pedal for guitar or bass. Fully functional, VG cosmetics. Squishes peaks, hangs your note out. What else can you say? 9v battery or standard power jack. Please feel free to PM any questions
 9. Pearl SU19 Stereo* Noise Suppressor £12 posted Clamps down on unwanted hum and buzz. Set threshold and release to taste. Can be used for weird noise gate effects. 9V DC, battery or mains adaptor. Two in, two out Stereo but please note one channel is noisy while the other works fine. Therefore sold as one-channel mono or spares / repair Please feel free to PM me with any questions
 10. Nobels TR-X Tremelo pedal £25 posted Trem pedal with 4 waveforms – vintage round, vintage square, modern round, modern square. Goes from gentle vintage-ish Fender to ‘What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?’ stutter in micro-tweakable stages. Clean, warm, efficient, unlikely to scare the drummer’s mum unless set to full chat. 9v battery or standard power jack. Feel free to PM me with any questions
 11. 1990’s solid state flip top combo Bit of a rarity here, which I bought new back in the 1990's. A 100w 15” Ampeg B15T solid state combo with the flip top and the tilt-back leg. Headphone out, line out, effects loop, speaker mute and XLR out. Fully functioning and in excellent cosmetic condition for its vintage. Ideal for recording, rehearsals and small gigs, the B15T is a surprisingly loud and tuneful little amp. Tonally the amp has a voice of its own with surprising versatility covering a wide range of sounds from earthy thud to modern zing. Each of the four EQ pots is pull-to-boost; the low-bass pull is quite the revelation, adding depth without mud. Though it's only 100w / 4ohm, I regularly gigged this amp in pubs between a Marshall Bluesbreaker and a loud drummer. I had no trouble being heard (or hearing myself) thanks to the tweakable EQ, the tilt-back and an efficient, loud 15” 4 ohm speaker. Flipped out and tipped back it looks quite sweet in a retro sort of way. It’s ultra-compact so your ‘significant other’ may not even notice when you shift it into the house. Please feel free to PM me with any questions. Cash on collection from BA15 or (subject to agreement) will meet or will deliver within 100 miles of BA15
 12. In almost unmarked condition and full working order, a classic rock amp from the golden year of Punk. Includes original soft cover. Four inputs, two speaker outputs, usual complement of tone controls and presence, old-style variable impedance and voltage adjusters (to modern electrical spec), etc. This was serviced at Bletchley about 20 years ago then put into long-term storage until I hauled it out recently and fired it up. Gorgeous classic mid-period non Master Volume Marshall roar. Totally to original spec except: * Pot knobs replaced by Marshall back in the 80’s (they were just trying to be helpful, I suppose). * Hard-wired input jumper between I (lower) and II upper to avoid need for jumper cable - easily removable You’re welcome to come by and try it with your own axe / cab. Feel free to PM me with any questions Cash on collection from BA15 or (subject to agreement) will meet or will deliver within 100 miles of BA15 at 20p per mile
 13. Nashville Feb 2006. Ungigged and from a smoke-free home, this is a nice little Junior with the classic spanky dog-ear P90 tone that goes from a snarl to a roar. This is the slightly shallower body version that adds a touch of brightness. Comes fitted with a Tone-Pros saddle which transmits a little more energy to the body and makes setting intonation easier. A minor rarity, this guitar was part of a special Gibson factory run for a Japanese retailer who went bust. The guitar was diverted to Guitar Village in Farnham where I bought it about seven years ago. I’ve not seen another one since. As seen in the images below - minor cosmetic blemish to the rear of the neck from stupidly leaving this thin-nitro finished guitar on a plastic stand, tiny ding on upper horn. Comes with an SKB locking hard case (inc keys) Cash on collection from BA15 or (subject to agreement) will meet or will deliver within 100 miles of BA15 at 20p per mile Feel free to PM me if you have any questions
 14.
Hes not as bad now but a for a few years Bono spent half the gig sitting down at the front of the stage telling us how he was going to save the world.
And his hand-clap routine of infamous memory The po-faced demeanour with which certain luminaries approach audience engagement makes one yearn for the days of music hall. A song, a dance and a drag interlude was good enough for George Robey. Modern life makes me sick.
 15.
I am looking at buying an acoustic guitar. Or an electro-acoustic guitar. I don't know which.
99% of the time an electro-acoustic is an acoustic guitar with a pick-up already installed, usually (but not always) an under-saddle piezo strip. Most EA's have a little control set perched somewhere on the upper bout. Played unplugged there is arguably little difference in sound, particularly in the low budget sector.
Obviously, an acoustic is going to be easier to use at home but how easy is it to get to use on stage if need be? I assume it would need miking up? Or fitting with a pick-up? I have no firm idea!
For home use, either type will do the job. For stage use (unless it's a particularly tiny venue) the instrument will require amplification, necessitating a connection to the PA or an acoustic guitar amp. Retro-fit pick ups for acoustics are available at most price points, ranging from under-saddle > strap pin jack off the bay for a tenner through soundhole clip-ons right up to combination internal mike / piezo strip arrangements. In such circumstances it may be wise to acquire an external eq / pre-amp pedal to sit between the guitar and the PA. A pure acoustic can be externally miced up as is the case in most studio recordings. Some prefer the amplified sound of a miced acoustic to the sound of an electro. The limitations of an acoustic in a live environment may include the necessity to remain in reasonable proximity to the mic; the reliance on the PA engineer to adjust for EQ and feedback; possible phase issues between your vocal mike and the instrument mic. With a budget of £100 your options for quality will be quite limited unless you trip over an old Japanese Yamaha. I'd buy the best pure acoustic I could get and bolt the peripherals when later required. Good luck
 16. Thank you all for the kind compliments She is a lovely old girl but downsizing is the thing round here.
I realise the ducking stool takes up a bit of room, but the mustache twirler? NEVER!

You're not going to let the Danish hunting bike go, I trust..?
All going. I shall however be keeping the grand electric soup strainer.
 17.
Nice bit of wood there. I have to ask, you're not going to pass this on and regret it?
Possibly, me old fruit. But the life de-clutter demands action. If it doesn't hurt, it's not working. Wait till you see the rest of the stuff that's going

More pix here: http://s593.photobuc...r/library/pbass Price: £1500 cash on collection or (subject to agreement) will meet or will deliver within 100 miles of BA15 free of charge 3 Tone Sunburst 1971 P Bass in good "player's" condition bought in 1987 from the second owner. Original finish was already well dinged in places. I've looked after it with care since then. Dated 5th Jan 1971 on neck heel; the neckplate serial number supports this as does the 'Chambers' stamp in the neck pocket. It's a great player, easy action and a featherlight 8.1 lbs. Comfy B-width neck (narrower than a normal P but wider than a Jazz). Sporting its original finish, pick-ups and metal hardware this bass has a nice warm sound with lots of character. It has been subject to minor modifications over the years - a new pot, a brass nut and a new truss rod adjuster nut. The control cavity has been slightly enlarged at the vol pot end, presumably to accommodate a non-standard sized pot. The scratchplate is aftermarket via the BassDoc, the original BWB having been cut down then lost by the previous owner. I swapped the extended G string bridge screw over to the D string bridge but this is easily reversible. In terms of cosmetics, the body and neck are well dinged with some buckle rash on the rear. The fingerboard bears two small spots of dark brown filler, approx 5mm x 5mm. One of the pickup height adjuster screws has stripped. The output from the pick-ups is a little on the low side to my ear but entirely usable. The tone pot knob shaft rotates slightly off centre and there is a similar tiny offset in the angle of the D string tuner shaft. Currently strung with 40's and almost flat relief. Includes non-original generic hard-case. Please PM me if you have any questions.
